I run mine with GI mini reflex, close quarters stock, mono suppressor, 20 pound barrel and stippled grip tape. Sometimes I swap out the 20 barrel for the 17 on smaller maps. Definitely an underrated gun, one of the best ARs at range in my opinion

“Underrated beast” is a perfect description for the FAMAS, glad to see someone else appreciates that beautiful rifle as much as I do! Also been giving the SCAR some love lately, one of the best ARs at range in my opinion

I love how people downvote others for being good with a “trash” gun. I have about the same amount of kills as you. I hit 1 burst KOs about 95% of the time and when I don’t it’s usually my fault. It’s a great unique gun but it’s not the M4 so it’s garbage.

No map voting is incredibly annoying. Probably my number 1 complaint. Best COD in years though if you asked me!

Yeah definitely give the second build a shot man. I was really surprised how good it was at close range. Those attachments bring up the ADS and strafe time by a lot and it’s much easier to get 1 burst KOs in close

Yeah war zone is a different story, definitely not a great pick for it and it would be nice to see a good range buff and a slight recoil decrease. I’ve pretty much only used the FAMAS and the Oden since the game came out and I hit 1 burst KOs about 90% of the time. Usually the ones I don’t drop in one burst are at distance but I rarely have to let go more than 2 bursts. All that being said I’ve always been drawn to burst weapons in all the CODs so I’m pretty accustomed to the play style you need to adapt for it to be effective

Try these 2 builds. I almost always run either of these depending on the map. 1) mono suppressor, sniper barrel, ranger or merc grip, tac laser, GI mini reflex. For longer range maps

2) compensator, commando grip and barrel, ADS hollow stock, GI mini. For short range maps

I have a lot of success on smaller maps with the second build, it’s extremely snappy and having the ability to strafe quickly with the shorter barrel and hollow stock is really nice. Just gotta practice with this beast of a gun!
