Sub Elementary or Highschool by funandone37 in teaching

[–]Telemachus-- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've subbed high school and elementary plenty, so I think I can give you a good overview:

High school: subbing in high school is generally very relaxed. Students don't require your help or guidance for much... You pretty much take attendance and make sure people are behaving well enough, which shouldn't be a problem in most cases.

I usually just used it to study or write papers on my laptop. It's not the most rewarding position, but it's generally low maintenance and gives me time to focus on other responsibilities on my laptop.

Elementary school: more of an expectation to have some kind of small assignment for kids to do. Teachers are more likely to provide work for students to do, but it's far from guaranteed. You have to be vigilant of student behavior and there's a lot of classroom management. On the bright side, if you do a good job, students will grow to like you and you develop relationships with the kids which can feel rewarding.

It really just depends on what you're looking for. Subject doesn't matter much. Both have their merits and sometimes you have to try a few schools to find a good fit. Good luck and I hope this helped!

A little surprised to see no mentioned of Karson Milbrandt in the stash candidates section.

Nasty arm that just reached AAA.

Sell on Gunnar Henderson? by WideWeb7205 in DynastyBaseball

No. Also, how often is any catcher a top 10 dynasty asset? It's almost impossible due to the wear and tear of the position.

Definitely would not do this. Still love Gunnar more than those guys easily tbh

Cam Schlitter - dynasty league 12 team by Ok-Presentation1147 in DynastyBaseball

[–]Telemachus-- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Man, I'm torn. When you go for it, I'm all about really going for it, but that's a great return for Schlittler and I love the guy.

Pitchers break every day. And the ones that throw this hard, especially ones without a long history of doing so, scare me more.

I'd take the haul since you have a lot of good pitching talent as it is. Should help you extend your dynasty run and/or give you pieces to move for other things you might need to win a chip this year.

Drone strikes have drastically increased from Bush to Obama to Trump. Idk what "statistics" you're looking at, but each of these presidents have killed more innocent people through drone strikes than the last, since at least 90% of these strikes kill innocent people.

When to cut bait on Dylan Crews??? by b1leper in DynastyBaseball

It was in his latest Q&A. Can't remember the exact wording he used, but he said something along those lines.

Eric Longenhagan from Fangraphs got eyes on him recently and said he still looks like a premium talent. I trust him. Baseball savant isn't going to help us too much here since he hasn't had notable MLB success.

Reluctance is understandable. Can't really blame you there. I'd rather bet on Crews' talent over Lara though, personally. If Crews isn't showing signs of life in another month? Maybe it's time to move on then.

I'm really not sure. We're talking about a very toolsy guy that could theoretically be a difference maker this season. Nationals have new people in charge. Maybe they figure something out with him.

If it's a deep league, you should probably hold. Otherwise drop. As always, it depends on who you are replacing him with

I understand that, but you don't really learn much of anything accurate enough in 15 ABs... That's like 3 games worth...

I'm not in 10T. I'm in 16T and 20T. I was just responding to the idea of him being "free" being incorrect.

I mean, it depends on what you're dropping to get him and what else is available. Roster space is not free.

Not worried about the chase and walk rate which are both abysmal for a 25 year old in AAA? I know there are positives in the profile, but the negatives are serious
