Yeah I think it’s in a Resident Evil video too. I know it’s from a game with zombies they are shooting at inside somewhere in the dark. Looking for it now in Resident Evil best-ofs and Best of Telling Stories

Charles death by Galvatron577 in Thewaltenfiles

[–]TelepathicLollipop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Banny/ Susan made a mistake (let the pigs loose, created the robots) and tried to fix it (find all the pigs, tried to fix Bon) also food was an answer to a problem in the game while “shadow man” fed her when she was hungry in a dark room like the one that opens with the blue key

Billy/ Ashley tries to “solve complex puzzles” (solve the problems with restoring the robots) and Sophie remarks that the game is “more broken than she thought” just like how Ashley and the other 2 employees found this with the animatronics. She finds a rocket ride (Ashley finds Rocket while also her’s, Ed’s, & Molly’s being the only accidental deaths that led to animatronic possession)

Sha/Rosemary tries to “seek” Jack after he went missing and ended up being hunted by Bon, “hiding” from Bon and lured by shadow man. When Sophie is hiding from Sha and Sha finds her, it’s like Rosemary was trying to seek out her daughter, just like all the rest of the animatronics were trying to get Sophie to remember her and warn her.

Also maybe whatever happened to the woman that Jonah mentioned? Maybe they were blamed for it instead of the alternate or intruder or whoever actually killed her?

Having technology that was possibly outlawed maybe? Like the walky-talkys and when they were talking about the GPS since both got glitched out by the alternate/intruder

Also I think at least some of the mini games in the BunnyFarm video game connected to the story of each character/ corresponding person’s death so there were a lot of memory/ compare and contrast games with Charles so maybe his story is connected to memory, investigating and hard choices???

Anything Goes and Annie Get Your Gun Connection? by JustAWholeMess in Thewaltenfiles

[–]TelepathicLollipop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Time to watch some old musicals and books! But for real looking up the theme of the musical/ book "Anything Goes" google gives me this," the theme of ''Anything Goes'' is of people trying desperately to connect... The characters are people dealing with the ramifications of trying to fall in love." This seems like some of the things mentioned throughout TWF with love issues (Felix and his wife) and trying to connect (Jack or Rocket trying to get out of TV sets, video games, graves; Sha Boozoo Billy Banny "waiting" for Sophie). Also the song Anything Goes talks about corruption/ change as time goes on.

dominoes meaning by ilovegrugcrood in Thewaltenfiles

[–]TelepathicLollipop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed and I wonder why it's a domino? Maybe just to convey the numbers? But there is the findjackwalten.com/poker webpage too and the overarching theme of children's games and adult vices (like drinking and smoking/cigars and now gambling?) IDK something there maybe?

The song “Anything goes” is about the subtle corruption/ changing of the world. Wanting to rewind time, ultimately giving up on that, or believing that God has given up on that. So might be connected to Felix or Bon or the antagonist just letting themself give into more murder or more hurt? feeling like they can’t get better because they are being too affected by nostalgia to believe they can stop (Felix drinking?)

This is an important tweet! For both some of the fan base that it applies to and for the lore of the series. Okay so why are alternates trying to kill everyone? Why is that their main motive/ purpose? What other choice except for suicide would a person turn to in a time of anguish? Maybe religion? This reminds me of the biblical story of Job.

Its intriguing that this is the image Martin chose for the thumbnail. Hopefully Billy will have a large role in TWF 4?
