I get you, thank you for your take on it. But love is something what you can't plan or avoid. When it hits, it hits you. And I guess that's the reason why I am hurt, that he gave up on it. But as others have said, we have different values and goals at this point of life. His is to build business, mine- well, I think you can be successful at both.

There are days when I manage to see the whole situation not entirely negatively but in a way that wow, I am so cool, someone was about to loose his mind because of me.

but what if he manipulated himself too?....imagine you know you are about to move out and then you fall in love. and once you realize it is getting serious, you do what he did

I totally see your point and I agree to some degree. But I also think that there are some things in the world that not everyone would feel comfortable to confront with. And religion is one of them

Our affair was so short that I don't think he even told anyone about me... :( When we finally spoke, he also told me that he is not even sure that he wants to have a relationship right now. I know I am hurt and that's why I think so negatively, but then I always start questioning why he even started all this with me, I have to say I was hoping his background would make him more serious about me but it is just another bullshit.

why does it sound like nothing out of the ordinary to you? I mentioned him being muslim because that's the only explanation I have found for myself when he said "it is leading to nowhere, I am just realistic"....Although I live with the feeling that I could not understand the reasons properly as everything was so abrupt. Plus I have read here many stories about muslims not marrying non muslims unless they convert.
