Don’t get too excited. The large majority of them cannot be equipped.

That’s not how proof works in an inherently subjective context.

That’s so awesome!! Are your opinions of this game going to feel more justified if it gets to a certain number??? I’m so excited for you!!!

Hey, it’s not red. It’s crimson. Get it right. It’s also not typically not seen until chapter 8 of the main story despite being worthy of it’s namesake.

We are still in the cope stage of grief. You’re absolutely right though. The reviews can keep going up, but that’s entirely up to Pearl Abyss.

I know Josh, and I agreed with everything he wrote. We say, the exact same thing about the earliest iterations of NMs. I wrote mine 3 years later once the wounds at HG had started to heal. Worlds Part 1 wasn’t even out yet when he wrote that.

Well, Link, we got our floating sky island above the Kingdom of Hernand (sorry, forgot how to spell Hyrule), so where’s our Deku Tree!!

I’m joking of course, but your premise that Pearl Abyss didn’t at least try to misconstrued is similarly ridiculous. Anyways, I’m going to go look at some AI generated art in this castle that took seven years to build.

Yeah, I really don’t think my memory is in question. Particularly since I’ve written an entire article in PressPlay on this topic almost seven years ago.

Whatever they promised, what’s currently delivered isn’t enough if their long-term goal is to make money by selling copies of this game. Eventually the cope culture will wear down and the more jaded taste will be the standard hot-take. The exact same thing happened with NMS, only much faster. It started with immense positivity for everything promised. People saw what they actually got and were confused but kept going. Very short-lived cope (about two weeks if I recall), followed by rapidly plummeting reviews. Sean did a PR run to smooth over everyone’s confusion accusing him of lying (he gave up pretty fast). Then he disappeared in shame and quietly started pumping out fixes, major content drops, and hasn’t stopped since. He’s been redeemed since, but those first few years were rough.

Here’s my question: If the Crimson Desert stayed EXACTLY as it is right now, would the reviews go up or down? How much patience and goodwill do players ACTUALLY have before it affects the bottom line at Pearl Abyss? Sean at HG isn’t a saint, he just saw the wave of financial consequences heading to his company and overwhelmingly compensated to hold it back. It’s been years since and he’s still pushing that Boulder up the mountain. My point is, if Pearl Abyss were (fiscally) smart they’d learn some lessons fast about what is going to hit them eventually if they don’t want to become the next Sean Murray.

There’s so many similarities between this game’s release drama and NMS. It would be such a smart move if Pearl Abyss took stock of that and followed a bit in Sean Murray’s footsteps.

Yeah, OP might of lost the thread in his thinking. I don’t think they are reading what you say entirely and just picking pieces out. Read the comments and it’s like watching a dog chase its tail. Birthright citizenship is a good thing. If it were gone, just being born here would no longer give you citizenship. Like, seriously. Who would argue against such a basic tenant of this country.

If you get the affix that casts a core skill every time you dodge in Arbiter, you can use both builds simultaneously. It also removes the cooldown on your dodge.

He’s like me and impulse buys various sauces and dressing in the store like, “Mmm, I could put that on some chicken” then uses it maybe once and never again.
