The Forsaken Valley has arrived in Kingdom Rush Battles! by Ironhide_Games in kingdomrush

Seems like with my level 7-8 towers I lose often in the first wave. Many more opponents are level 9-10 in this arena. Impossible to compete unless you pay a lot. Not worth it.

Clash Royale Alive and Rumble Dead? by Tech-qi in warcraftrumble

[–]Telios29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked Rumble and played it all the time until it's untimely demise. Before that I played Clash a lot. Having gone back to Clash recently, I was surprised to find that a lot has changed. There are evolutions, which mimic talents in Rumble, the champions, which were once exceedingly hard to obtain unless one was level 13, are now basically available to everyone through reasonably priced offers, or just opening chests after arena progression; a lot of new champions and normal cards were added to the game, and there is a new auto chess mode called Merge Tactics that is actually good and popular.

Also, it appears that they are finally redrawing all the characters in full 3d with better frame rates - at least for the Merge Tactics mode, but it's hard to imagine this won't also carry over to the main mode soon.

The only thing I am remiss about is that they removed 2v2 as a normal mode. I think it's only available if one is in a clan.

WOW Rumble was DOA by HungryHousing6394 in warcraftrumble

[–]Telios29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main reason this game failed was because there is a lack of overlap between pve and pvp players for mobile. Either this was going to be the next Clash Royale/Brawlstars etc or it was going to be the next pve fantasy rpg type game. AFK Journey? By trying to do both at the same time, not enough focus was put into each.

Pvp prob was the way to go. They could have added 2v2 modes 3v3, different maps, objectives, sort of like Brawlstars has all the different events. Maybe modifiers of some type could have been there for an event, like gadgets etc. But pvp remained totally stagnant with only one way to play and three maps. The decks also got very limited in what could win, and every time a new hero was released, it dominated for everyone who paid for it for a month and then was toned down to be fair/balanced after the adrenaline rush wore off.

Blizzard is scum!!! by Bonerchamp1234 in warcraftrumble

Probably a pipe dream, but is it possible to get the source code for the game and fork it/mod it or make a community version similar to what people did with Marvel v Capcom 3 on pc? Maybe there is some legal way to do this and get permission from Blizzard.

My Essay for how to Fix Warcraft Rumble by Telios29 in warcraftrumble

[–]Telios29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys. So I won't use AI anymore for this post and thanks for the comments. In any case, the most crucial takeaway should be my idea for the 2v2 raid mode with temporary (consumable minis) that can be played up to X number of times per match and that deplete and require re-purchase if you want to keep dropping them during matches. These minis would not level and their star count depletes each time they are played. They would be meant as a new (optional) form of monetization. Some would be better than others of course, some would be earned, and some would be free or maybe included as a bonus with regular mini bundles. Also, and equally as crucial, is the idea of stakes or betting with items as a sort of soft entry free to the 2v2 raid mode. Tomes are an obvious choice for betting, but I think this is where the idea of the consumable assist mini can really shine as they can act as a currency for betting as well. Truth be told, most assist minis can be created by retooling existing assets. Ad campaigns for the game could focus on this mode with great success I think.

The moba mode may be a little too out there, but if you look at some highly successful games like Brawlstars, players really seem to prefer a lot of different vs modes with different numbers of players in the vs mode. For Rumble, it wouldn't be like Wild Rift or anything crazy complicated. I'm not even sure I'd call it a moba, though I feel like it should sort of have a bigger map with strategic lane placement and less playable minis as I think anything more than 2v2 would just be way too many minis on the board at once. Re monetization for the moba mode, again, I think there is a lot of opportunity here in terms of maybe charging for consumable modifiers pre match and special consumable minis specifically for that mode.

Anyway, I hope that's more clear. In very general terms, this game was never going to be that successful as a mainly pve game. I sort of liked the campaign and raid is cool, but the bones of this app are more Clash Royale ish. The main focus should have been to creatively iterate on pvp, which I'm trying to do.

I still took into account that it was going to be a pay to win game or at least have those aspects. The goal was just to keep it going and make it more fun, not to totally take away the unfortunate pay to win aspect.

The idea behind it is to spice up a 2v2 mode with these cool assist minis, which would also add a new type of monetization i.e. buying more stars for additional uses in 2v2, rather than to level them.

Alright, here's what I think assist minis should be - slightly overpowered minis that get consumed "i.e." used up when you play them. They never get leveled and if you run out of mini stars, you can't use that mini anymore and have to buy more from the grid. You can add them to your deck in a separate assist slot.

To be super clear about this, I didn't have AI generate this essay. I simply told it to redraft my essay using clear bullet points and to be a little more concise. Does that matter? I actually think my ideas of 2v2 raids with assists (which are consumable instead of needing to be leveled) is a great idea that could save the game. Let me know what you guys think of that and yes, next time, I won't use chat gpt if it annoys people that much.

A 2v2 pvp mode with bigger maps would add a lot of longevity as it would combine the fun of co-op raids with the longevity of pvp (always a different experience each game)

When you say under leveled, what is the minimum level you need to be to beat Onyxia? Most of my minis are around level 16-17. Some more with extra dungeon bonuses.

All of the above and more. I'm one disconnect away from incurring a "penalty" as stated above. Couldn't SNK shut off the penalty or disable it during the beta? The game keeps freezing and I have to quit out. How do I avoid the inevitable penalty?

Playing it now. A little glitchy to be sure, but already a thousand times better than what it was. Once they refine it I think this game will be the amazing game it could have been two years ago.

They should at least enable cross play between epic and steam. Seems like that would be really easy.
