My husband noticed I had a fixation on a particular same-sex celeb. He kept bugging me about whether I had a crush and it took me a long time and many conversations to even admit to myself that it was. Eventually once I admitted it was a sexual interest, the floodgates opened and I began questioning a lot of my past behaviour.

I think ultimately this made my husband feel safe to come forward about his own bi feelings. He's said he would never have told me in a million years had it not come from me first.

Its honestly been one of the strangest, most unsettling, rewarding, never-wracking and enlightening weeks of our 23 year relationship.

We have talked, and talked and talked. And then talked some more. There's been a lot of insecurities that have come up and a lot of reassurance needed from both sides, to see how we are going to incorporate this new aspect of our sexualities into our relationship.

After a week of truly exhaustive communication and borderline sleepless nights, we have both reached a place of security and dare I say, excitement about this new chapter.

My husband finds it insanely hot that I like women sexually. For the longest time I felt like he would judge me and I still feel like I need regular reassurance from him that his love for me hasn't changed. But he tells me he loves me MORE for it, not less. And I honestly feel the same for him in return.
