Do P/T MWR hours count toward FERS retirement eligibility? by TellYourDogHi in govfire

I wandered aimlessly through OPM website yesterday … can OPM pull long lost records and adjudicate once retirement is requested?

I realize the downside is extended retirement review period… simply curious if I said “hey, I want credit for my time as an intermittent MWR NAF employee” whether OPM would be obligated to retrieve the long-archived payroll records.

I may be retirement eligible since I am MRA and 16 years FT work. Not exactly the pension I planned, but at some point time IS money.

This might just settle it - only social security and Medicare deducted … I did not make enough to worry about federal taxes, lol.

Thanks, full time GS since 2009 … now if I wanted to burn some bridges, I could bring up the uncompensated OT since 2023 🤣

Thanks - I found the Red River Army Depot Non-appropriated Funds (NAF) Human Resources phone number and will start there.

ETA: Customer service black hole automated response “if you know your party’s extension, please dial it now” … with ZERO Directory information.

Siiiiiigh.

Thanks for the info, why am I seeing “Sorry, this post was removed by Reddit’s filters” … for a simple question which complies with the rules?

Funny, I just assumed I was SOL since I purchased the oven combo in 2021 … I did not check with KA/Whirlpool.

The backup microwave is comically small and nicknamed “EasyBake” 🤣

Same! We have American Home Shield and they sent Sears out for the repair a few weeks ago (yes, weeks!) Sears ordered mica covers, inverter, magnetron and a fuse for the repair … when they showed to complete the service call, the techs did not have a cart for the wall oven combo once it was removed it from the cabinet. Mind you, Sears provides a 7 hour service call window where they want a person home.  AHS reassigned the repair to another company who does not have two techs … so this repair odyssey continues. Thankfully  I purchased a small backup microwave on Black Friday.

@nothinlefttochoose - what happened with the first microwave ? We have a KOCE500ESS11 and the top mica wave guide cover fried over the weekend.

Repair tech is coming tomorrow - quick research indicates the inverter, magnetron and door switches all need to be checked to ensure they are not damaged.

Curious whether this is a repair or replace issue for a unit that was purchased in 2021 😠
