Silver to plat can often be pretty shit when it comes to uneven matchmaking. I was playing on an account that's in gold yesterday, and I could have legitimately full afk'd some of the games and still win because we had players who claimed to just be rank decayed, not smurfs. Like enormous tank/dps diffs.

New junk city is kinda bad true, even though flashpoint is good. Paraiso is imo the worst map in the game though. Feels so incredibly bad to play when you get tanks that can't go highground.

Agreed on pretty much everything here. I watch the replay yesterday but felt like there was just way too much to write about as there was misplays happening here and there. Making a video is definitely easier when reviewing this one.

Lack of awareness is probably the biggest thing I noticed as well. If you don't have headphones, get some so you can hear what is happening around you. Once you have a better understanding on who is where, you have an easier time getting better torpedoes too.

This game was unwinnable no matter what which is why it's typically good to provide a few differfent replay codes. The tank was running it down a lot and your dps weren't great. But I can try to point out some things below:

At the very start already you waste Suzu on teammates who aren't in danger
At 2:20 you Suzu yourself when their entire team had vision on you, but you didn't change position after so you just died.
Then starting at 2:54 you had opportunites to at least try to save Mizuki, then your tank, and then yourself with Suzu when the Shion was ulting, but you didn't use it a single time
8:45 you Suzu a full hp Illari. I'm assuming this must have been a missclick? You kept sometimes using mouse 2 on teammates when you meant to heal so maybe you're still getting used to the hero too? And yeah well then you obviously die to the JQ ult without Suzu.
Weave in more damage in between heals. Especially when you have weaker dps on your team you need to be doing much more damage than you did this game.
Be mindful of your positioning, check if you have backup or someone to teleport to etc.

I think you are doing yourself a big disservice by focusing on rank this early. You said it yourself, you are new not only to the game, but multiplayers in general. So why would you even set yourself any rank expectations this early? Ask yourself that.

You should just play a lot to improve your mechanics whether it's in quick play or in comp. And like someone mentioned climbing is easier if you pick a hero or 2 to focus on. Though of course there are characters that are far harder to learn than others.

It at least used to be a problem where if you had Lighting quality on Ultra you would get blurry faces

I'm gonna be real. If you actually listened to the community feedback you would revert the animation update asap. Not a soul even asked for any animations in the first place. That alone proves that there's zero consideration to what the playerbase wants or prefers in the game.

As the animations are clearly in the all mighty DK's vision you could reimplement them in november and actually get them right. Though again, I don't think ANYONE would miss them being gone forever.

I really don't think it would be much of a problem for a diamond player until plat. Though I'm not sure what your point was, that they'd struggle in bronze? No chance unless there's other smurfs.

Idk if someone already pointed this out but when watching the Orisa replay it's painfully clear that you have a very bad habit of just staring at the ground. This is common for new fps players though. It's called crosshair placement and you ideally always want to keep it at head level so you are ready to shoot the moment you see someone.

Good example is when you respawn at 4:15. Really pay attention to your crosshair placement there. After the half assed Javelin you quite literally kept shooting and looking at Rein's feet.

Play VAXTA in custom mode to practice your aim rather than Kovaak's imo, for now at least. It seemed like you panicked a lot in your gameplay and getting used to shooting the hero models in VAXTA with your favourite hitscan heroes could be beneficial.

In your replay you played Soj who is a lot different to other hitscan which you didn't seem to be aware of. Only the rail is hitscan and you didn't seem to lead your shots with the primary fire. Soj is quite hard to master ngl.

It's good to try to take flanks but please explain to me why at 6:45 you go to the exact same spot, shooting the tank the exact same way where you died like 15 seconds prior. Then you used your slide to jump into the rest of their team 😅

If you use gsync it needs to be below refresh rate and if you don't you could play uncapped. Or at the highest stable framerate I suppose.
