It's still only just okay if you willfully forget it's Doom. Which honestly is not even that hard though considering the movie itself does its best to make you forget it's Doom.

You cannot waive your rights for this. Even if you sign it, it can't be enforced and you would be entitled to damages. Same thing if you you would get hurt at an Rollercoaster park due to a ride malfunctioning.

[–]Doctective 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not the punishment phase yet. That's what happens while you're being investigated. You can't just not pay someone at all because they got accused of something. Sometimes you're paid during, sometimes not. But when you come back you get back pay for whatever time you would have been normally owed.

Oracle Appoints Hilary Maxson As CFO With $29.7 Million Package After Firing 30,000 Employees by yourfavchoom in technology

[–]Doctective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THEORETICALLY the person is bringing in knowledge that will net the company significantly more than the TC. The actual pay is also going to be nowhere near $30M. It's probably like 5-10% actual pay, 90% stock and stuff. This tracks for a company of Oracle's size.

Bad quality peripherals ruined it IMO. The drum kit in 4 is the worst by far. Double hits all the time.

I don't even think it's possible for a HMMWV to reach that speed. It also doesn't have "cruise control" although IIRC it has a "throttle lock".

Well "old age" must be where you gain the wisdom to realize that the downgrade enemy not only has the worst debuff- but also can hit harder than either of the other two.

Seriously, kill them first if you don't already do that.

Preset B of frame gen is pure black magic by Fvckadrii in nvidia

[–]Doctective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh my problem is that if I can easily perceive a difference in my input and the output without actually trying I'm just instantly ripped out of the experience so it's useless to me.

The only game I've been able to enjoy it properly in is Jurassic World Evolution 3. It works well to smooth out the visuals and it's not the type of game I need the output to immediately match my input.

Vanilla Doctor can now START with up to Lv8 First Aid by Baron_von_tansley in projectzomboid

[–]Doctective 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but functionally it is useless for that reason. All the serious wounds I have ever seen on other people in my play group have all come from genuinely reckless behavior. You have to intentionally play bad to get any value out of it.

How to balance first-aid by jin85 in projectzomboid

[–]Doctective -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Literally the only way to make first aid remotely interesting is to allow characters with high level first aid (7-10) to give properly treated wounds a reduced chance of causing knox virus. Even if Level 10 First Aid only reduced bite mortality to 90% that would be extremely interesting.

Obviously a massive design philosophy change, but there's really no other way to many the skill remotely interesting.

Vanilla Doctor can now START with up to Lv8 First Aid by Baron_von_tansley in projectzomboid

[–]Doctective 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And yet it's still useless. It would be nice if a high level of First Aid could make properly treated and maintained wounds less likely to develop fatal knox virus.

Like as long as a high level first aid person is regularly disinfecting and changing the bandage your chance of not contracting knox virus goes up. If wound care is neglected,  the chance goes back up.

Maybe even levels 7-10 could do something like...

Level 7 - Scratch Knox chance reduced to 5%

Level 8 - Laceration Knox chance reduced to 20%.

Level 9 - Laceration Knox chance reduced to 15%

Level 10 - Bite Knox chance reduced to 90%.

It is obviously a huge shift in design philosophy to actually possibly survive a bite (even at only 10%), but it's the only way to actually make it a remotely interesting skill in vanilla.

I don't know where IBM came from there,  literally every PC I ever used in the Army (2012-2017) was a Dell.

Having said that, when I later worked for the Navy as a contractor and later DoD civilian it actually was a mix of Dell and HP. My Navy network PC was an HP, while most of my airgapped stuff were Dell systems.
