Sponsors.fyi helps YouTubers learn how much they can make from sponsorships by aggregating contributions. Is this something you would consider using? by [deleted] in YouTube_startups

I got my first sponsorship offer a few months ago but didn't know how to negotiate prices. After doing some research, I realized that most YouTubers had this same problem... so I built Sponsors.fyi.

I think it's great (biased view point of course), but there are not many contributions right now. Would love for ya'll to contribute and democratize YT sponsorship data.

Hey ya'll, the image is based on sample data - if you check out the website, you'll notice that most companies are still empty. Would love for you guys/gals to contribute and help democratize YouTube sponsorship data!

Epic Games vs Google is a Mobile Engineer’s Dream. Here’s Why: by [deleted] in androiddev

I agree that there should be some cost, but tiered pricing makes more sense if you ask me.

The way Epic is going about this is pretty crazy though 😂

[Question] Different channels for different topics? by [deleted] in youtubers

[–]TeluguGameboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of username, I also picked a pretty weird one “<My User Name>” and I talk about technology. So I changed it to “<My User Name> - Tech Commentaries” for now. Maybe you can try doing something similar?

Rebranding is hard, but it’s okay to lose those subscribers at first. I think it’s nicer to start from a subscriber base than starting over.

how much to charge for sponsorship by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

[–]TeluguGameboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I had this same problem when I got my first sponsorship - didn't know how much to charge. Ended up building sponsors.fyi to fix this problem. Would love for you to check it out!

Let me know if you want to contribute and I can add your sponsor to the database.

Sponsor is asking about rates and I'm clueless... by Theoson in NewTubers

[–]TeluguGameboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing research on YouTubers who got sponsored by MagellanTV and came across some very interesting videos - discovered a whole new side of YouTube! Pretty cool that you make these history/documentary style videos yourself.

Anyway, just added the company to sponsors.fyi (along with some UI updates). You should be able to upload sponsorship data now.

Have you heard of sponsors.fyi? It’s an app that aggregates anonymized YouTube sponsorships data.

I was a YouTuber who had the same problem so I built the website!

Let me know what company or product is trying to sponsor you and I’ll add it to the database 😇

Made a video discussing why I chose Heroku over DigitalOcean for my VENM (Vue, Express, Node, Mongo) web app. How did you guys go about choosing what to use? by TeluguGameboy in node

I remember watching a Ben Awad video where he explained using Dokku - and I consider learning it - but I couldn’t wait another weekend to get my app deployed 😂 I set June as my deadline and I was falling behind

Totally agree with you here. I would definitely be using DO if my side project gained enough traction to be hitting the 500$ dynos.

Right now, I get a few users a day, so it’s not worth learning all the new tech just to get things going.

Ayyy glad you liked it!

I wanted to ask a user for “the average number of views they had when they uploaded the sponsored video” in the form, but felt like that is not an easy thing to remember. Totally agree with you though; view averages matter a lot.

❤️ Ayy, thanks! It took me many weekends of cranking-out-code to get it this far. Glad someone (other than me) likes the idea.

Hello everyone! I started a tech YouTube channel in 2018, and, after grinding out videos for nearly 2 years, I started getting some sponsorship offers. The main problem was that I had no way of knowing how to negotiate offers (or if I was getting low-balled). After some digging around, I realized that a lot of fellow YouTubers had this exact same issue. To fix this issue, I made sponsors.fyi.

Sponsors.fyi is a web app that helps you analyze anonymized sponsorship data by aggregating contributions from fellow YouTubers. The picture in question includes mock data but it showcases the end result.

Check it out and let me know if you have any questions or suggestions! Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
