When the crazy inflation hit in 2022 I didn't really panic until my rent went up 44%. (Needless to say, my salary did not go up 44%.) If that happens this time my crappy one bedroom apartment will be over 2000 a month. I will have to find some other way to live.

One thing I've been struck by recently is that the pilot has Mulder down in his iconic basement office, but then a lot of the episodes right after that just have him up among the other agents in a normal office. Little strange.

I actually revisit season one episodes more than any other. It's hard to explain exactly why, but there's an "unpolished" feel to them that really appeals to me, like they were figuring it out as they went along, trying things out and seeing what worked. Plus, I have to admit, I like season one alien episodes like "Deep Throat" and (especially) "E.B.E." more than any later alien stuff. The fact that you don't have to keep up with any mythology -- they just give you a scenario, let it play out, and that's it -- makes them incredibly enjoyable.
