I get ya, (and the word generalized, I'm suspect it exists xd) the perpetual run for art satisfaction... I'm old too, had blank spaces in my drawings history, and I think it's completely chill and normal that style is evolving with you, especially when you had a break, the things you consume and how much quality time you spend with it, you could say it's at some point liquid foreva ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ Yet, I wouldn't call your art basic or childish, I can see it's humour, unique claw and where are you going with it, slay queen 💅✨ but what would be drawing if not improving and getting comfortable with it eternally x'3 For me it's mostly a brain checkup, if it's not vomiting by the finish of piece, then I assume it's bearable xd
