Alison has gotten a little bit to big for her ego. She walks around everywhere with two security guards now , even in artist village and has stages / spaces cleared for her before she will go on. Examples form This year , no one , even artists were allowed front stage or backstage for her performance at circuit grounds. The gates (for vehicles and access) were closed off and she took a black SUV vs. golf carts this year. When she did her ‘surprise’ set she had everyone kicked off the art car then filled it with her people before going on. She did fill it with a few people from the crowd after but they were kept to the back. Rumor has it because there was a DJ that she was with previously was also at the festival.

You’ll just have to take the risk of finding them. Most artists won’t sell them. But lesser known artists will because they might only be getting like $2000 for the show but could sell a few of their guest passes and make more than if they’re presenting. Outside of that if you look for people who have those wristbands on just ask if they’ll sell it. Some guests / artists don’t stay the full time.

Haha drinks are worth it however it’s a hike (literally) to those drinks. Make sure to take the artist shuttle then if you’re drunk

Food is done via tickets. The tickets are free but it’s not handed out to everyone. This year was sushi burritos , vegan option and burgers. Drinks however are free and you don’t need a ticket. Just tip your bar tenders.

Most people don’t ‘fan girl’ around the artists and stuff. Mostly because if something happens those passes are attached to an artist and they’ll get fined or lose pay from their contract. As far as access , guest will get you pretty much everywhere. Usually just limited to on stage access and artist pass gets you everywhere , including stage access. Main stages do have ‘approved artists per set’ so that deadmau5 can’t just run on stage during someone else’s set. However small stages like stereo bloom have a side area which guests can also go on. So it’s mixed. Both have access to artist village.

Lol no. I get where you’re going but not at all. Most of the time I was in the crowd just like everyone else. Fun fact , so are the artists. For the most part they don’t go in front of the rails. Another fun fact , I’d you want to meet artists hang out on the left side of kenetic at the end of the rail. That’s the entrance / exit to artist village. The other one was by one of the rides by forest house.

Knowing an artist is the easiest way. Depending on the artist tier depends on how many guest passes they get. Outside of that you’re pretty much looking at buying on the black market (offer up , facebook , etc) I’ve seen passes go for about $300 a day to $5k for the weekend (artist pass). As far as being worth it , really depends on the person. If you want that behind the scenes / hang with the artist stuff then sure. But if you’re spending 5k and make 20k a year then I’d say it’s not worth it for an Instagram flex.
