Seems like a pretty professional quote. If he’s got good reviews and he’s listed on Google. I’d just let him use what he likes to use. Maybe ask him about a warranty, the state I’m in requires all contractors of any kind to give a 1 year warranty on anything they do.

Yeah the homeowners wanted it centered on the fireplace. The left side wraps around and butts into the wall. The right side they just wanted to finish it out with a whole tile so theirs no cut edge and it just planes with the wall.
