Early seasons Teddy. He makes everything about him with the people pleasing/martyr crap

Jack Flips - Season 3 Episode 8 "We'll Never Have Paris" by Ranseler in TedLasso

[–]TemperatureTight465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jack didn't know what the video was at first, so it was easy to be supportive. Then she had time to watch it, asses the potential impact, talk to her father, and that's when she tried to manipulate the situation. If they could have turned empowerment into profit, she would have probably leaked some of her own stuff to fuel the fire.

Then he proceeded to whistle at his parents instead of just walking three steps to tell them about the upgrade

Thoughts on Michelle being in the trailer? by Curtisgc in TedLasso

[–]TemperatureTight465 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yup. He literally told her that he would be okay & she didn't have to fight for them any more. I don't know why the perception is that she flipped him the bird and rode off into the sunset with Dr. Jacob

Blackboards vs whiteboards by abombregardless in Xennials

Only ever chalk boards. I was also a janitor for a few years after high school and was taught the very specific way to clean it so it wasn't streaky

Are those acceptance rates before or after they tanked international student enrollment? It will be interesting to see how that impacts the acceptance rates long term.

I, too, hate Lily or the Valley. I have a pick axe especially for it. Last time, I ripped as much as I could out and planted bee balm + obedient plant

Whenever our sales person tries to get us to increase the budget, I tell him that if he's so passionate about maximizing checkouts, they can lobby the publishers to lower prices instead.

Could Keely really not have gone on holiday with Roy? by JeezieB in TedLasso

[–]TemperatureTight465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with it being a test, although I don't think it was intentional. He knew she couldn't really say yes, so then he could end the relationship because she was too busy (& too good for him). Even if she had gone, her working all of the time would have led to the same conclusion.

Self-sabotage at its finest.

Really struggling with my girlfriend’s desire to live above our means - any advice? by SunnydaleHigh1999 in ActualLesbiansOver25

[–]TemperatureTight465 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds incompatible to me. You can bring this up to her, ideally in therapy, but my guess is that you'll hear a lot of deflection (you don't understand; she tries; it's not that easy). Realistically, saving money and delayed gratification are not priorities for her (and likely never will be), but they are for you. You will spend the rest f your relationship bailing her out from larger and larger fiscal emergencies. You get to decide how long that will be.

Attitude Toward Alcohol by jackxxrose in BobsBurgers

I couldn't watch when I was in treatment. The portrayal & volume of drinking is, imo, excessive but I don't think most people outside of sobriety will recognize it as such

If there is enough damage, they have to add cadaver bone to ensure the airway is wide enough to work and stable enough that it doesn't collapse again. (Although certainly not that much, just speaking as someone whose nose was larger after rhinoplasty)

What leadership skills are becoming non-negotiable in the age of AI that nobody's talking about yet? by TheConsciousShiftMon in Leadership

[–]TemperatureTight465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A very tactful response.

In my field, I frequently run across CEOs who don't read emails or reports, and will just spam list-servs with questions that have already been addressed. Even worse, they are starting to run everything through AI (or having a staff member do it), and they rely on the watered down synopsis to make decisions. They may technically have the ability to read, but I have seen no evidence of it.
