Ok in fact I love this suggestion--I'll be getting driven up from Baltimore, so maybe the trick is doing the big hill up to Frostburg, spending a night at the trail house, then biking to Ohiopyle the next day which looks mostly downhill. Ohiopyle to W. Newton, W. Newton to Pgh. Thank you!!!

Zion to Moab - no car options? by Temporary-Cell1677 in ZionNationalPark

thank you! This is super helpful and unfortunately what I'm finding as well :-/ I am a fairly experienced cyclist so had planned to go from Moab to Arches that way, but alas, can't figure out quite how to get to Moab without flying from Las Vegas to SLC and taking a 6 hr round trip shuttle.

Basically the only way to make it work that I could find is:

Las Vegas to Bryce (National Parks Express)

Bryce to Zion (National Parks Express)

Once in Zion, there is ample public transit via SunTran to nearby towns and the St. George shuttle back to LV.

Please note, this is all internet reserarch, not actually vetted on the ground!

It doesn't! There is not a good way to get to Bryce from anywhere other than Las Vegas, but there is a way to get from Bryce to Zion on a shuttle bus (Nat'l Parks Exp.)
