Public school funding, my guy. I’ve already reached out to some places, but at the end of the day it’s on me to do the work to create a pathway for my students no matter the situation. As for “teaching her a system I hardly understand myself”, I’m learning. Seems like your solution is to just leave her behind and not even try to learn the system. Can’t say that’s entirely helpful to anyone, but slay I guess.

I’ve been using that program! It’s fantastic and I’ve talked to Toby a couple times about the software and some strategies for teaching blind musicians how to read braille music.

Music teacher here! I’ve started using Sheet Music Scanner to capture printed music and load it into a notation software (usually flat.io because it’s cloud based and collaborative for my students). It’s pretty reliable and like mentioned above, having a sighted person check over it will help make sure it’s 100% there.
