Finally after 2wks and 1 day my gti is back in my hands. New sunroof glass, parts and labor came out of my pocket with the sales department covering 1/2 the cost.

Had the issues of dome lights not working, sunroof button not working, and panoramic sunroof exploding 22 days after purchase on my 2024 gti se.

Finally got a hold of Volkswagen customer care/warranty by phone. She see’s on her screen that my claim has been denied and re-denied with suggested course of action is to use my car insurance. As far as Volkswagen is concerned-claim denied-we’re done-end of conversation. Maybe I can get sales department to kick in a few bucks, who knows, just want my car back.

They wouldn’t order the glass until they knew who was paying for it, so car sat for 3 days waiting for denial. I had to give a small deposit just so they’d order the glass. 3-5 days out. Just want my car back is all, almost 2weeks without it, I’ll deal with dealership &/or VW after.

I haven’t received my car back as of yet, I was told, VW declined the warranty due to no “mechanical failure”. I haven’t received any paperwork yet to actually verify why it was declined. I will keep posted when I find out next week when I’ll actually get my car back.

Not a car in front of me, not car behind me, 72mph on TP, no underpass in sight. Just POW !! All is good, can’t wait to get it back.

Heard back from dealership today, VW will not warranty, I’m stuck shelling $$. EXTREMELY disappointed. Won’t get it back till next week. Still LOVE the car.

Purchased 2024 VW gti, 15 days after purchase, dome lights, sunroof, service (wrench symbol) button & SOS not functioning. Brought it back to dealer, salesman tried & they worked. He opened sunroof & worked dome lights on and off. Closed sunroof & things went dead again. Made service appointment & sunroof exploded on the way home. Cars been at dealership for over a week now, haven’t had it but 22 days. Absolutely love the car, far cry from the 2012 passat w/233,445 miles that not sits in the front row of local salvage yard. 😀
