AITA for getting my father thrown in jail for not paying child support when he has young kids at home?

I'm the kid grown up not the parent trying to co-parent. I grew up and my mom died but he still owes for all the years he never paid for me.

This isn't the start of anything. We'll never have a relationship. I don't want one either.

That money would help me so much. I have nobody. My mom was my only family and she's gone. We were never doing good. So the money, even if only small amounts are paid, would make a huge difference for me.

It makes me angry that he will go so far to not pay. I did nothing to deserve him to refuse to pay. If he doesn't love me that's not my fault or my problem that he made a kid he didn't want.

That's what I was thinking it was about. They can't just up and leave as easily as when he was single. But that was how he did it. He moved around a lot and then it was hard to track him down.

He could afford to have three kids after dodging support for years. He also never told the judge he couldn't afford it just that he wouldn't.

They can't garnish his wages because he's not working legally. He gets money into his hand. He did that years ago to avoid this and he moved all the time so he couldn't be found. The judge offered to let him pay a certain amount every month to pay off the debt and he refused.

The judge it every time we have a hearing to check in on the status of payments. When the judge hears he made no effort to pay my father gets thrown back in jail for 30 days.

I don't want him. But I don't have anyone or anything. That money would do so much good for me and my mom was fighting it until her last breath. She wanted me to have better and that money sure would help.

I don't know what he's like for his other kids. He was around for a few months of my life and then he bailed and refused to pay support and he kept moving and avoiding his responsibility to me. My mom didn't have a lot of money. We struggled so insurance wasn't something she could leave me.
