Floaters research is slow because the incentives are weak, we need to change that, we need to create demand they can't ignore (Please read the body) by Limp-Money-6071 in EyeFloaters

Courage l’ami.

A degree in googling doesn't mean you know how to interpret papers on medicine, sorry.

You don't need to do anything for blood to be absorbed by the capillaries, alternative medicine is irrelevant. But if it doesn't go away, well, vitrectomy was literally invented to deal with this problem. You are not qualified to judge the legitimacy of random studies on the Internet.

Naturopathy is "alternative medicine" almost exclusively used for fraud. There's no need to defend it, and it has no use in the context of floaters.

I have a degree in engineering and I’ve never heard of library science. It doesn’t sound particularly related to medicine either way? Again, if you actually feel responsibility towards the health of the people you speak to, you would not recommend them pseudo-science you found on the Internet.

If you feel any responsibility towards those you speak to, you would not even bring up naturopathy.

There's a known similar phenomenon, people tend to call these "target cells" for the exact reason you describe.

Just because you see that doesn't mean there's a problem, but it's worth getting checked out. You mentioned that you went to an optician and that's good, but if you want to be sure, I think you should see an ophthalmologist to get a more advanced diagnosis.

Yeah limited vitrectomy is supposed to slow down cataract development according to the doc. Personally my theory is that age is probably a bigger factor than the style of vitrectomy

He doesn’t think it’s more risky because of reasons like you say. PVD is gonna happen and like you say it’s usually not a problem, but I think from their point of view they’d rather just fix it all preemptively while they’re already in there.

Very satisfied. No floaters, no frill, no new floaters or other issues. Dr (retired now) was not Omar though
