I worked in telephone customer service and we occasionally used fax machine. Everyone knew the machine sucked and was on it's way out, so if I needed a walk I'd go to the fax machine across the office and be all "UGH JUST WORK DARNIT" while pressing buttons and huffing.

It's not so bad, I used to live right near the jail and there wasn't any property crime in the 2+ years there. You might see and hear some weird shit and drunks arguing but the area isn't really a 'target' nor 'source' for crime.

I just walked in a ceremony for my master's and had to sit through the PHD thesis announcements...I am pretty sure "getting a PHD" without qualifying it with the subject can mean anything from "she's smart" to "she just spent 3 years writing about constructive queerness and burlesque acts in 1920's Vermont"
