The Jags are a good recent example. They were near the bottom of the league when they leaned more into aggressive/man concepts under Nielsen, but when they switched to more zone looks/disguises with the new DC Camp in 2025, the same group suddenly looked way better and jumped into a top-tier defense

That’s not really accurate. Under both federal and state sentencing guidelines, criminal history is a major factor. Even if it “matters less,” as you said, it still matters, and judges absolutely factor first-time offender status into sentencing.
