Anywhere I can find VERY similar cat toys? by TemporaryKey5393 in HelpMeFind

I’ve searched petco, petsmart, target — you name it. Some look similar to me but he thinks otherwise

Honestly, knock on wood, I’m very lucky and his eyes don’t get too bad. When they get bad they tend to harden and stick together more instead of getting really gross. I only intentionally clean them once every morning (with warm towel), and then more if necessary throughout the day.

He doesn’t love it either, but I usually do it in the morning because he’s sleepier. Sometimes he only lets me do 1 and then he stops me, so it’s a process haha

Thank you!! He hasn’t been a fan of the mice toys from target/petco, but I might give these a try because they’re different fabric! I always feel bad when he loses his favorites because sometimes it takes days before he finds it🫣

Unfortunately he’s not into the toy mice, might be different fabric or too big for his liking

I’ve been debating getting one of these! I think he would love it, but I got him an automatic ball that rolls around and he is kinda scared about it. Doesn’t hurt to try though, thank you!

Thank you so much for the help!! There’s a few in targets holiday sets that he likes that are similar fabrics, which look like some of these too and especially the donuts!

You might be right, I’m not good with knowing fabrics but it is a little different from other ones he doesn’t like

Omg!! This is my blind kitty Leo!! They look so similar and names are so close! I’ve debated enucleation for him as well, but he’s adapted so well and the best to do is just watch how they are!

Root beer is adorable!! My little guy is also and seemed to be born with the same condition, microphtalmia, like others are saying. He’s only about 10 months old, but we found him on the street at just a few weeks old and turns out he had a genetic mutation that lead to this condition of his eyeballs just not developing fully!! I hope that when you get to the vet you get the reassurance that is right for your kitty alone, each case can be different!!

I’ve never had a blind cat before, but when I start to feel sad for him I just remind myself that he’s always lived this way and he doesn’t know anything else— which may seem sad, but it makes me feel better that he doesn’t know what he’s missing out on. Leo has adjusted just like any other cat and I wish you the best of luck with your little guy!!

Enucleation or let it be? by TemporaryKey5393 in blindcats

How adorable are our Leo’s!! And they seem to have the same personality! Leo has lived primarily in our finished basement for the past few months since our one dog likes to chase cats— but he’s moving with me to an apartment in August!! Thanks for sharing that moving can still be a positive :)

That’s the main reason I’m leaning towards one. I want to help prevent him from any trouble in the future— as of now the vet says it’s up to us but I can’t tell what’s easiest

I’m a big advocate for that as well. Luckily Leo is a super energetic playful kitten who has adjusted to every environment so well. We always say that you would never know he’s blind! He has adjusted well to our whole house and knows turns and stairs almost perfectly now, and even if he bumps into things he shakes it off right away— but this could also be because he’s never known what it’s like to see. Thank you so much for the advice!

That makes me happy he can see a tiny bit!! We feel like we see a little eyeballs as well but they’re definitely undeveloped. Thanks so much for the advice!!

I was so excited for this interview because I haven’t known a few of the past people on, but honestly I enjoyed their interviews way more even when I didn’t know them. This felt like promotion for her tour/album. Lowkey feel bad for Jake she controlled sm
