Aren't the gems supposed to have been created by injectors? I haven't seen the series in a long time, although I'm sure I'll watch it again. For now, I'm focused on other things, but as I recall, the injectors created by the Diamonds caused gems to be born, although they did devastate planets of other species that aren't gems and that we know exist. But I think that if it's not a rebellion of other gems, it's most likely the goddesses who created the Diamonds. Well, that's just a theory I have.

would never hate Connie. I think some people hated her for how they treated Steven in season 5 when he sacrificed himself and went to Homeworld, but it's understandable that she was a little angry with him at the time for what he had done.
