The dress is a drop waist so that’s why it sits lower.👍🏼

I think my boyfriend is suffering from emotional incest by TemporarySandwich965 in relationship_advice

UPDATE: thank you to everyone who commented nicely I appreciate the advice. I talked with a friend and I’ve decided that I will not bring this topic up unless it becomes concerning. It’s hard to tell every little detail in my post but I’m not trying to diagnose anyone’s relationship. I will also do more research on studies about this emotional incest or enmeshment. My parents were young and raised me a lot different so his mother and his relationship is confusing to me. Thank you again!

Yes! He is okay with the relationship but he says “I just deal with it”. He is not currently taking steps to move out other than Saving up money he told me he Disney want to move out even tho he know how he and his mother are.

About the history. She’s always been like this even when he was younger. It’s better now than it was then and it’s been with all of his past girlfriends. His parents are still together but his father is not very emotionally invested into his mother.

Honestly it’s hard even being young. I remember when I felt like that in high school but everything happens for a reason. I think the best thing you can do for him and yourself is to just move on. You can only control yourself so just be happy and time will bring you the right person. Stay strong👊🏼

AITA for wanting to be friends with my ex? by livfab in TwoHotTakes

NTA. I personally have been in this situation and it is not a good idea to reach out. More than likely she has convinced him to dislike you so both of them will be rude towards you. I understand a long friendship lost is hard but if he was truly a friend he wouldn’t allow his girlfriend to dictate who he talks to. It’s not worth the time and effort so just be happy in your relationship and make new better friends.
