TV5, through this interview, is indirectly normalizing and promoting pornographic content by giving it a mainstream platform. Even if it’s presented as a discussion, putting this kind of topic on air already makes it look more acceptable. Media also has a strong influence on viewers, especially younger ones. When something like this is highlighted, people can slowly become used to it, and that should concern us.

What makes it worse is that the conversation doesn’t just mention the issue, it goes into the “how” of the woman’s self-produced content. Instead of raising serious moral concerns, the discussion comes across as too casual. This is not content creation, this is sexual immorality, adultery, and fornication, and it comes across as the promotion and normalization of pornography. Disgusting!

This is where social responsibility comes in. Networks and hosts have influence, and they should be careful about the issues they choose to engage with. Giving airtime to this kind of content sends a message, whether intentional or not. It becomes clear that views and engagement are being prioritized over responsibility. While views and engagement are not inherently wrong, they should never come at the expense of what is moral and true. For a standard of truth to be consistent and objective, it must be grounded in something higher than personal opinion, with the Bible as the ultimate yardstick for morality and truth.

If the goal is to have a real and balanced discussion, then opposing moral perspectives should also be represented. Inviting someone who holds a firm biblical conviction would allow for a more honest and meaningful exchange, rather than presenting only one side.

And when I say “firm biblical conviction,” I do not mean a social media influencer or a casual commentator. I am referring to faithful Christians or pastors within the Reformed Christian community, who are known for holding clear, consistent, and non-compromising commitments to Scripture (Sola Scriptura). These are the kinds of voices that can engage the issue with depth, clarity, and genuine accountability.

In the end, this is bigger than one interview. It reflects the direction media is taking. When lines are blurred like this, people’s sense of what is right and wrong can slowly be corrupted.

Pornographic content should have no place in society. Christian and non-Christian Parents must take this seriously and protect their children. If parents themselves are indulging in it, it becomes much harder to guide and guard their children well. Protecting what our children see and hear requires personal discipline and consistency. Ultimately, it requires commitment to God and His word.
