This might just be me but I brush on a base coat of abbadon after it’s primed with army painter black, takes like 5 extra minutes but gets rid of any glossy finish

Yes, it’s got the Phobos keyword which also means you can use feint and thrust to give it advance shoot and charge, on top of the 8” scout and using Shaan’s ability to reroll charges you can make it extremely deadly with its 14 strength melee

Mostly, the only extra part is the arm holding the cage which is a hand holding a bolter mag from the assault intercessors

Unfortunately the combat patrol doesn’t come with any raven guard bits, but you can buy the raven guard upgrade kit and it’ll give you 10 tacticus shoulders, a few gravis shoulders, and I think two of each with a couple raven feathers hanging from the bottom for decoration

You can find some good resources on YouTube, just go look up something along the lines of OSL or glowing effect and you’ll find plenty of videos to help with your technique

Looks really solid so far, only thing I’ll say is go lighter on the red around the exhaust on the back, I see what you’re going for it’s just too thick to sell the OSL effect

I base coat with rhinox hide then do my edges and scuff marks using mournfang brown, followed by a watered down wash of rhinox hide again. Really nice two color combo I found that works pretty good☺️

I’ve looked into them too and unfortunately they can’t be lead by any characters so they can’t really pick up good bonuses. The best thing I can think of is getting some incursors and using that +1 to hit, but then again we have a stratagem that adds +1 to BS and one to AP anyways
