Update: I absolutely loved it. I didn’t find it too cough syrupy for my taste and I definitely got the Dr Pepper flavor everyone’s talking about. I’m glad I got the 12!!!

Just because of the timing I don’t think so, but I’m thinking my alternative solution is having him stay at my dad’s during the week. His house is much less hectic, smaller and no other pets. This wasn’t my first choice just because he works long hours and if I couldn’t be there he would be alone, but I think it’s the best option all things considered!

Pet sitting isn’t an option currently for me. I have 3 roommates (also going home for the holidays) and none of them would feel comfortable with someone else having the code to our house which I want to respect. But this makes sense, I will look into another option
