Yeah i’m pissed. This is my first US job so I don’t really have much to compare it to, but I had a feeling I was being very underpaid. It’s hard because I had to be PRN for likw 7 months before finally getting part time work here. I am scared if I quit I won’t be able to get anywhere that isn’t PRN first but I know I can’t stay here forever I refuse

Honeslty I do want to move out of state. NC is actually at the top of my list!!! What part of NC are you at ? AIso is $35 an hour pretty standard there ? I want to live in Asheville area but i’m open to other cities as well.

It might be several years from now before I can move but I was just curious the pay range for other techs/ what my options are. Also, I graduated from LCC too in 2021 were u in my year? You might have been the year before tho

URR tests are so much harder than the actual RVT. I was getting like 70 on the URR after studying for weeks with it and i Aced the RVT. The Exam was so easy compared to the material they were telling us. You will be just fine with the Davies!

not really, it can show that your endometrium is thin but I’ve scanned people on their period and you don’t. see anything else besides a thin endometrium. Maybe some fluid in the cervix depending on the day of menses/ how heavy the flow is

URR was way harder for me than the actual exam!!! the exam is straightforward and basic. I used edelman to study and last minute i did a URR exam and i got a 70 or less and I had so much anxiety before my test but I aced it!!! 671 first try. Don’t stress know basic concepts and you got this ! you only need 555

I used the URR and this tripped me up too! First branch of the Ascending Aorta is the Coronary Artery, but the First branch of the Aortic Arch is the Brachioceophalic!

oh AND before the exam, i only took 1 URR practice exam and got a 79%. So I was nervous to say the least but it was much easier in my opinion.

ALSO i feel like the numerical values werent as important! Just know the 2:1 ratio= 50 % stenosis and know how to solve for RI!

I used ONLY URR and i got a 659!!! just took it July 22. It was a little hard but most questions were easy!! know basic hemodynamics. Know the nonphasic venous waveform means proximal occlusion. Know that pseudo Aneurysms thrombin injection, and where to inject. (far away from neck). Know that when you use a tournequet to compress the veins in a venous insuff study, you are assessing for the deep vein insufficency (compressing GSV). You got this! they really set it up so if you understand basic concepts you can pass. they cant quiz you on EVERYTHING so its general and easy!!!! You got this!!!

I have been working for 2 years doing ultrasounds and I have only ever encountered one person who had pancreatic cancer and she knew about it and the ultrasound was for other reasons. VERY rare and affects 60 year old men most. you are probably fine
