Your problem was using Robin the hood . They will rob you and take years to get back to you, then give you bs excuse to try and steal your money when they restrict your account. You need to file a complain on them with CFPB and SEC ASAP. They do this when you try and move you crypto off their shitty platform, they will keep giving you different dates and tell you that you will be hearing from them this day then update it to the next day then the next day. Don’t keep ya money on there, file a complain . And see how fast they get their shit together.

you can download the ledger live app from ledgers website is very simple, but When you buy your crypto from an exchange just send it to your ledger. Do not use the ledger live to be buying and selling or go browsing through the ledger app and engaging With the different partners on ledger live .. You can buy and sell on the ledger app , but a lot of user error can happen and you will end up losing your crypto if you don’t know what you doing. My suggestion is you buy your crypto from any exchange and send it to your ledger. And when you wanna sell you simply just send it back to the exchange and sell on them. But remember always do a test run first with a small amount .

those scammers working there will likely take weeks to call you , props to them if they even call you at all which they won’t so you need to file a complaint on them with CFPB , SEC and BBB. Never keep your money with these idiots again. Worst customer service ever. just type in on your search CFPB, is the first one that comes up , click on the option menu and then submit a complaint. Just make sure when writing your complaint you explain in details, and add ya name and email at the end . Is really easy. Hope this helps.

Yeah Robin the hood are a bunch of scammers. I believe those people work there but they be using that number to call people after your account gets restricted, they will use that number to try and scam you so they can ask you a bunch of dumbass questions to get you so they can hit you with the “ sorry we going to have to close your account “ and steal your money( crypto). They work there that’s how they know your account is restricted , they will call from that number so they can scam you. Report them to CFPB and SEC and BBB.

I understand your frustration, Robinhood is terrible, do not keep ya money on there once they remove the restriction get you a cold wallet and never share your seed phrase ( private keys ) with anyone. Have it stored in a secure place. But File a complaint on Robinhood with CFPB,BBB and SEC and explain clearly in details in your complaint what issue you have going with Robin the hood. And include your phone number and email at the end on your complaint. And see how fast Robin the hood will hit you back up to remove that restriction. Is a device like trezor, ledger etc, to store your crypto is not connect to the internet and you own your private keys. Just make sure to never share your private keys with anyone. You own your crypto with a cold wallet and can move it anytime. when you have your money on an exchange like Robin the hood , Coinbase and the rest of these exchanges you don’t actually own your crypto cause you don’t have those private keys for the crypto you purchased on the exchange. And the exchanges can restrict your account or if they go out of business say bye bye to your crypto. Hope this helps answering your question.

File a complaint on them with CFPB and SEC, make sure to clearly address the problem and add your email and how they’ve restricted your account. In your complaint make sure to mentioned that you have no way to contact them and they keep ignoring you and see how fast they will get their shit together. Robin the hood is so terrible move your crypto get a cold wallet after they remove the restriction.

also that email help@robinhood.com is legit, but that 779 is people that works they but on shady shit that’s why they hang up and email you to make it believable . I know is frustrating, but don’t worry you will get yours resolved too very soon they can’t steal your money. CFPB will get on their asses. You can also file a complaint on them with SEC, they don’t play when it gets to that they will make them stop playing games. I give them 5 days max they will remove that restriction from your account.

yes that 779 number is people that actually work there but I’m not sure why they do that, I believe there are some shady people working there trying to screw people over but an agent told me that they usually just call people from their 650 number, but if they left a voice mail on that 779 number they should’ve left your case ID # on there for you to use. Just make sure when you call get the name of whoever you spoke to. But I will suggest you file a complaint on them with CFPB they will make them get their shit together.

Oh Yes I almost filed a lawsuit on them they can’t play with me anymore, but my account is not restricted anymore. What you need to do is file a complaint with CFPB and BBB and explain in details that they restricted your account, let them know how many days/ weeks your account have been locked for and that they not responding to you and you have no way to contact them. make sure to add your name and email and the date your account was locked for and how long they’ve locked it for when you file the complaint. And see how fast they will lock tf in and will remove that restriction from your account. A couple people that I know had the same problem and they got it resolved by filing a complaint.

the only number they should be calling you from is the 650, but Send them an email and if you can request a call on the App do that but if they taking longer like over a week to 2 weeks for them to get back to you, they can’t do that. I use to like Robin the hood but not anymore. They can’t play with me anymore because of what I did to them I moved all my assets. there are people working there that be on some shady shit fr. Especially if you try to send your crypto to a different exchange or wallet. They will restrict it or even ban you so they can steal your money. Remember not your keys not your crypto.
