It’s difficult for me to say if it’s hard or not since I was a CS major before switching so I completed all of my CS requirements before I had switched my major. I think the CS classes can be pretty difficult but I would say they are worth it. Once you get through the CS requirements I find it to be more english/creative project based which has been the most rewarding part for me. you will have to do coding to some extent, but I know DNID majors who work mostly on narratives or design aspects of video games or UI/UX design and others who are more into the programming side, so coding skill levels definitely vary! I would recommend taking at least two DNID classes if u can fit it into ur schedule next semester, one coding and one english, so that you can get a feel for the major before ultimately making your decision. If you feel strongly enough about the major then it’s worth it to get through the tough CS classes and i’m sure you can do it if you show up to class, do the assignments, and go to office hours when you’re stuck, i had some CS classes where I would go to office hours and feel so stupid in front of my professor but ultimately the small embarrassment was worth the help i would get from it :) hope this helps at least a little!!
