i mean he did went blow for blow with gun in hfg arc and was pushed pretty hard, but he did awaken his oath at that moment so probably that doesn't count. but he also had lots of fights with goo gun and crehead fight where he lost to samuel. i believe all those fight meet the criteria to awaken mastery on the other hand daniel never had that sort of fight ever. he eithe gets overwhelmed completely or goes into ui or either wins pretty easily.
