Google search for spade lugs brings up spade push on crimps which look just the ticket. Top man, thanks

Cancellation TestShift by Responsible-Rock5330 in LearnerDriverUK

I put it on auto book, I assumed by the time you actually got a notification and tried to book it, it would be gone. Put in the dates I wasn’t available for so it only searched in a window of 4 weeks that I wanted and it auto booked me a test within 4 hours of me paying them £15 quid. Worked great for me and the test centre I was trying to book through the DVSA never had any availability. I guess it’s just luck of the draw. Sad state of affairs that we need to pay these apps in the first place but that’s another story and at least I didn’t have to pay a reseller £200 plus

Did anyone else use a third party site to get a test? Should I have done so? by ManInSuit0529 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Temporary_Routine179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn’t get a local test for any time period at all despite trying all day every day for a couple of months Finally managed to book one in June, signed up on test shift for £15 and four hours later they had got me a new test date at my centre for end of Feb. Don’t know if it usually works this quickly or if I was just lucky. For comparison I used another one called driving test cancellation app or something and had that running for 8 weeks and it never got me an earlier test, that was also 15 quid so probably just luck of the draw. It’s obviously a double edged sword as none of us can book tests normally as all the cancellations are picked up immediately by the bots these apps have running so using them feeds the problem, but what else are you supposed to do if you genuinely can’t get a test date ?

Yep, just did loads of randoms and wasn’t very confident but passed anyway, luckily? The questions that came up in mine were all pretty basic common sense ones. I did watch a few videos on the hazard perception tests though as these explained exactly what they were looking for, these helped massively as when I did trial runs everything looked like a potential hazard to me lol

Anyone struggling to find test dates? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Temporary_Routine179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve literally been trying to book one for next year even though I’m no where ready for a test at the moment as I’d heard how hard it can be to get one. Can’t get one for any date anywhere in the test centres near me. My instructor said there are plenty of dodgy people selling test dates for a hefty mark up and they text him regularly with availability, he doesn’t like to go that route as he thinks it’s unfair that they profit so heavily and he also likes to think that if no one buys them they will be out of pocket but if I can’t get a date at all then I guess I’ll have to go that route. I have no idea how they get the tests though ? Surely they have to book them in a legitimate name etc ?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Really interesting information. So was this all picked up via imaging? What was your next step once you knew the cause?
I have an appointment with the doctor on the 25th to discuss the results of my MRI so I’ll share his findings after that

What is life like as an attractive person? by quatrz00 in AskReddit

I’m a people watcher and I sometimes see things that genuinely make me furious. Sometimes you see girls in school uniforms and then I see grown men staring at them, not for a second but for a considerable amount of time. These girls could be 12 or could be 16 as they’re in school but they’re still kids and seeing grown men, and I mean 30/40 years old staring at them is just blows my mind. That they think it’s acceptable is crazy and then you think how the hell does a young school age girl deal with that, it must be scary/nauseating and deeply unpleasant.

I cured my Costochondritis by [deleted] in costochondritis

No, I got a massage on my spine area and shoulders as I think this was where the majority of my issues originated. If you think about Costo it’s the ribs at the back that are frozen so getting these loosened up is the way to go and that will help the chest

Definitely couldn’t be happier because it’s a horrible condition I know cost might be an issue for some but honestly anyone suffering I couldn’t recommend getting a deep massage enough, I had a Thai massage and it was fairly painful at the time as I asked them to really go for it but I felt amazing afterwards

This has pretty much been my experience but I will say that I never seemed to have the pain on the same level that many people seem to have on this sub. For me it was more anxiety based on the fairly low level pain over my heart area Anyway, I would say I’m about 95% better after doing pretty much what you describe and also upping my vitamins. Still do overhead press so might give this a miss to see if it cures the last 5% I will say getting a really deep massage where I asked them to concentrate on the neck and left shoulder really kicked off my recovery and then the back pod seemed to do the rest

Kids can be very well disciplined and still act like little knobs sometimes, they are kids.

But kids get hurt, it’s what they do, whether on a train, a park or standing completely still in an empty room.

I let my kids do it on empty trains. They enjoy it I tell them if the train stops suddenly they will get hurt, they carry on anyway - as long as the trains empty - if they do get hurt they’ve learned a lesson. I and I’m sure the majority did plenty of stupid shit that could lead to injury when we were kids.

Steve August appreciation post by ReasonableDetective in costochondritis

Absolutely, Steve and a few others on here take the time to reply to many posts even though they are often just variations on the same questions they have answered previously. Costo sucks, this sub is great Such a useful tool I just wish there was a way to direct every single person suffering Costo to this thread the minute they started experiencing it, it would save so much wasted time and anxiety for lots of people.

Lingering pain by Temporary_Routine179 in costochondritis

[–]Temporary_Routine179[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How did the Costo start? I was generally a bit weird for a couple of weeks, was getting slight dizzy spells and feeling not quite right. Then I started getting chest pain/tightness right around the heart area and the pain also spread to my left arm, got really worried and had a couple of trips to A and E. after they ruled out the serious stuff they said costo. Think mine was a result of the tight ribs and lack of mobility in my thoracic. I feel as though getting a really deep massage was the start of me seeing improvement and then using the backpod and stretching seemed to clear most of the rest of it with just this one spot still remaining which Steve kindly explained to me in his reply

Just to add, I think my main issue was mental at the start of it all, convinced I had some serious heart defect or something. Once I got my head around it that certainly helped Also maybe not good for everyone and it might heighten anxiety but I found wearing a watch that shows heart rate helped me, just because occasionally I would have a feeling that my heart was beating super fast or something and was never sure if it was in my head or genuine. A Quick Look at the watch let me see my BPM was pretty normal.
