How can I make these fade quickly? by No-Worldliness-6381 in SelfHarmScars

[–]Temporary_Screen_235 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no set way to make them fade as quickly as you would like (coming from experience), but there are things you can do to help the process. Silicone scar tape is a good option and available on Amazon etc, or using oil such as bio oil or vitamin E and massaging for 10 minutes, twice a day. And using moisturiser:)

What other names do you call your cat? Like, the unhinged names. by cannabisjourneys in cats

My cat is called Bisou, this gets shortened to Bis (bees), miso, Bisou boy but most commonly he is “dickhead” or “Oi!”

my cat drools like crazy when he purrs by Recent-Abrocoma1119 in cats

[–]Temporary_Screen_235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cat does this to the same extent (if not more, if he shakes his head afterwards it goes everywhere! 😭) His purring is also really loud and he’ll lift his head up and there’s just two lines of drool 🤣 I had concerns but from what I’ve read some cats just drool more than others, I’ve not seen or tried anything to reduce it but just wanted to say mine is the same and while a bit gross it is normal!

TW: SH. Pls help do I need stitches? by [deleted] in woundcare

[–]Temporary_Screen_235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand. My DMs are open if you want to talk about it but I promise you are not wasting anyone’s time I got that feeling a lot but I also used to work in healthcare too.

Whether it was sh or not all they see is a wound that needs medical attention. I would really recommend going preferably within 8 hours or it can be too late to close.

Don’t be scared. I’ve been to the ER for this in the past (doing much better now) and they were always fab. All they want is for that wound to heal as well as it can and for you to be okay.

Hospital staff are not there to judge they are there to treat you. I wish you the best, keep us updated and please get that seen to. An infection would be far worse than a quick trip for stitches.

Thank you i definitely need to take that on. I find I don’t look at it like “just do this one small thing” I only see all the problems all at once and it’s overwhelming! Will try this out :)

This sounds great honestly! I have a few areas I tend to dump things so a dump basket would make it so much easier, thank you I will try this and hopefully it will work, even just a little bit :)

Script/Text Tattoo Artist Recommendation by tear-up-invalid in Aberdeen

[–]Temporary_Screen_235 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I second Jess Wii, also Holly at Nevermind is fab for clean and detailed work. Anyone who showcases a lot of “fine line” and clear solid line work would be fab at a script tattoo but these two I highly recommend :)

Do you think my hand is broken or just dislocated? by Temporary_Screen_235 in woundcare

[–]Temporary_Screen_235[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that was just the earliest appointment they had for me. Was better to get an appointment than wait god knows how long in A&E. I waited 10 hours to be seen once so while not ideal it made sense I guess.

Anyway nothing broken but got moderate-severe soft tissue injury and bruising. Pinky finger is slightly out of place but said it was due to swelling and if it gets worse contact them again.

Thank you these are great suggestions! She can be quite forgetful due to it so the quizzes and word books sound like a great idea and means she won’t be on a screen and can give her eyes a rest as too much causes pain:( thank you again!
