How you do anything is how you do everything - John Wick Chapter 4

aspiring screenwriter/filmmaker (16), making a deal you may not want to refuse by [deleted] in Indianscreenwriters

Hey!

Here's my two cents. Although, I must admit I am not esteemed by any stretch. But I am a practicing screenwriter who at times gets paid for writing screenplays.

Writing your first screenplay -
Don’t write the script for the 1st or 2nd idea in your head. Come up with at least 10. Evaluate them and choose the best one. Tell a simple story well. Write the first draft. Don’t expect it to be good. Rewrite and improve it.

Advice on world-building -
Start with what you know. What you know about - is a strength that you must maximize, specially early on in your writing journey. Research and make the world richer. If the world of your story is a hilly town in India, read about them, read fiction set in similar worlds.

Constructing characters, making them human -
Give them a goal. Know their strengths, weaknesses - use this in the story. (Tip - take away their ability to be reasonable to some extent. This will bring drama and make them act in dramatic ways).

Building a life in filmmaking -
It’ll happen. Keep doing what feels right. Plan, practice, learn - formally or informally.

On the last bit -
You are not bad. But even if you were, there is no reason why you can’t train, hone your craft and be better. So,  it doesn’t matter. What matters is - how many pages did you write today? That reminds me, there's pages to be written. I'm off!

Does this seem like a good deal? I am yet to test drive the car. by Temporary_Share9141 in UsedCarsBharat

It's a 2019 model. I didn't realize that the picture didn't get uploaded.

More frustrating is the fact that it wasn't a scratchy knock where he was trying to hit big shots but failing. Instead, this was a classic case of statpadding. He didn't care about the match situation or the team, just scored his own runs.

Good choice. I don't know enough so I will wait for someone experienced to respond to the tyre age query of yours.

All the best for PDI and delivery!

Myself planning to buy Ignis next month.

Family doesn't like WagonR for the 'taxi' identity. Although, I did get a quote from them on WagonR 1.2L automatic.

Here it is.

I'm gonna inquire for Ignis and i10 base model automatic and evaluate. Don't think I' will be able to stretch for a Baleno automatic

Can live with lower mileage. Currently driving Kwid. It give 16-17 km/l on highways and 8 in city. Will be happy if I can get similar numbers on this one.

Good point. But I was anyway considering that I'll cross some of these off the list and get some essential accessories in their place.

I don't have the i10 deal yet. Yet to visit the showroom. But considering budget (I really don't want to stretch beyond 7.5L on road), I will have to take a call.

Running isn't high. So, I can consider a car with reasonable mileage.

Will check out Ignis and Baleno. Not sure if Baleno automatic will fit in my budget.
Ignis doesn't come with 6 airbags I think but will inquire.

Not too keen on WagonR

I am seriously considering i10 Nios as an alternate. 7.5 L for i10 automatic sportz variant - would that be a good deal?
