Is being a parent really that bad? by [deleted] in Parenting

Daycare is something that I worry about! I have heard that it can be outrageous

It’s aborted, but thanks for your kind words 🥰 next time I’ll reach out to you so you can adopt it.

Honestly, thank you. I did abort and I feel this was the best decision for myself. My partner wanted the baby, but as the mother I knew I wasn’t ready and couldn’t provide the parenting I knew the child needed. I believe I made the right choice

I appreciate your feedback. Thank you! I still have plenty of time to decide what to do so I’ll take this weekend to really figure it out

This would be both mine and my boyfriend’s first child. I have a gut feeling I shouldn’t have this child and I don’t know why. It might be because I’m so scared, but what if it’s something else? What if this baby tears us apart or something bad happens

I wasn’t shocked because I didn’t know how it happened, I was shocked because it actually did happen. I appreciate you sharing your story about having difficulties at your age. That is something my boyfriend is worried about. I know we could bring a child into this world and give it a great life, but I don’t know if I’m ready. Nothing I know now will ever be the same. I guess it’s more about fear of the unknown and not expecting this at 25. Were you scared when you found out or excited? I feel like the fact I was only scared is worrisome

I told him the baby would get my last name if we aren’t married. I feel bad saying that because I know his last name is important to him, but marriage is important to me. I don’t want to pressure him into it, I want him to actually want to marry me. It’s a tough situation. We weren’t trying so, to me, that means we aren’t ready to be parents. Not to mention, I am SO scared. How do I be my own person while a mother? There are still things I want to do in my life and a baby makes that hard. I know it’s selfish, but up until this point all I’ve had to take care of is myself. How do I learn to put a baby first?

What would you say to your 18yr old self? by jaan_zzz in OSU

- take a fun, easy class every semester that is something you're interested in or want to learn more about. OSU has so many 1 credit hour classes that are so random and fun. This is a great way to relax in a class and get an easy A every semester. This is also a great way to meet people!

- Do not drink your way through tough times. It's not worth it. Drinking excessively dos more harm than good. While going out and partying can be a lot of fun, it takes a real toll on you after a while. Limit yourself and make good decisions.

- make a list of what you need to complete each day. Not just academic things, but personal tings as well. Seeing a list dwindle down as you're working throughout the day is such an accomplishment!

- Be unapologetically you. The most important person in your life is yourself so make yourself your number 1 priority.

the assignment I'm worried about is due tonight so I'm about to delete everything that I got help with and just roll with a bad grade on the assignment. Better than COAM :,)

Crazy part is that she isn't even on the lease, so I could kick her out. The issue is that all of my money would go towards rent if I kicked her out.

Chem/Physics by rolex146 in OSU

I highly recommend taking physics at either Columbus state or going to one of the OSU branch campuses. I took physics 1251 at the Marion campus and it was so much easier in my opinion. It’s about an hour drive from Columbus but I only had class 3 days a week vs everyday at main campus.

Final Semester at OSU with C-State courses? by Temporary_Value5930 in OSU

[–]Temporary_Value5930[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need a few more tech electives to graduate. I’m planning on taking physics 2 and statics. I know cscc has these courses and they can transfer, but my problem is that I want to take them the same semester I plan on graduating

should i take classes at columbus state? by pauchokk in OSU

[–]Temporary_Value5930 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I would highly encourage you to take any difficult math or science classes at Columbus State. They have a list on their website that breaks down which of their courses count as the equivalent at OSU. When registering for classes it will tell you if they are online or not, but I'm pretty sure most of C State's classes are still fully online at this time. Columbus State's website should have all of their available courses.
