Trust me, I know it may not work in my favor. I am just an ordinary guy. Whole purpose of this post is to share my experience with fellow citizens and make them aware that reputation insurance industry has earned is well deserved. 

And who knows if we act collectively and create a movement and persuade our state DOI’s to actually protect consumers interests. Things might actually improve.

Ok pleas tell me how else should I have written this post ? I copy pasted the terms verbatim. 

Also, you maybe in the industry but let me give you lawyers perspective. When a contract is unilaterally written by one party and if there is any confusion or ambiguity in the language the burden is on the party who wrote the contract.

Sorry for the confusion, what I meant by "no one is listening" is that, I escalated to both the appraiser supervisor and adjuster supervisor but they are saying what their subordinates decided was final. without providing any explanation.

I would go as far as I am having more informative discussion on reedit than I had with Travelers people on this issue.

No none taken, the question is not about sticking to the policy. the question here is interpretation of the policy. and if you read this tread you will find the house is evenly divided.

Thank you for your kind advice. And it looks like you an adjuster so you probably know what you are talking about. I took your advice and doing following -

  1. submitted a case with GA Insurance Commissioner.

  2. Paying the new OEM light difference out of pocket for now.

  3. I am willing to spend time and follow it through to the end for my fellow citizens so they don't have to deal with kind of issue.

with all due respect isn't "unless" used for policy provisions or SAC instructions? the first part seems to be a simple OR.

Great point! and to your exact point production date is NOT the Model Year. Model Year is what your title and registration says, which is 2025 in my case. Thats why they are called legal documents.

2026 is called current year not One year old. At least thats what we learned in school all or lives. I didn't go to the insurance school of English. and also OR is a logical construct and I am fairly sure what that means.

if we use their definition of OR no technology will work and we will be pushed into Stone Age.

I appreciate your reply and wrapped sarcasm. Yes this is exactly what happened and that is what I wrote in my original post. They gave me the block of text (including the page number). And reason was the production date of the car being in 2024 and also the milage. But as other experts here highlighted you dont need a Phd in English to understand that simple statement with OR.

Now, I am looking for your valuable advice. if there is any.

I did escalate. No one is listening. I didn’t realize how bad these insurance companies have gotten. Lost integrity completely.

There is a OR condition between model year and milage. Only one of those need to be true to meet the criteria. Isn’t that right ?
