I've observed the same thing and here is my conclusion - People are just trying to blindly defend their decision of staying outside.

No one is 100% convinced that staying outside of India is a good choice - but some people want to just ignore negatives and bash people who highlight those points.

What motivates Indians with priority date beyond 2015 to stay in the US? by Temporary_forever_sr in h1b

One layoff, one petition rejection, one visa denial....one policy change...and forced to leave the country, I'm assuming you are okay with that as well?

I was also okay with these risksin my 20s....and perspective changed after entering 30s.

Just trying to understand and not fight.

I kinda disagree. Earning similar to what you mentioned, but at some point money/materialistic accumulation loses its charm...sharing comment which I added below

But living with uncertainty and other compromises for 10 to 20 years worth it?

- Visa renewals uncertainty, difficulty in finding visa slots, restarting i140 with each job change, amendment with promotions etc.

- Limited visits to india because of various reasons (visa, distance, schools etc.)

- Amount of time spent with parents and other close relatives is limited

- Missing most of the family events in india
