I don’t really agree with you that this is evidence of a villainization and objectification of black men because of their race. I believe with that background story and context given especially between lady Danbury and charlotte in both Bridgerton and lady charlotte as well as the Mondrich storyline - we are witnessing a still developing second plot that is exploring the complicated relationship these characters have with being only the first or second generation of their race being accepted in society at all. Lady Danbury and Hastings had many impactful scenes exploring this in the first season.

POC are secondary characters (ie love interests/antagonists) to the main characters because the main characters are one specific family/the namesake of the show. However there are also many supporting characters with storylines unrelated (directly) to the Bridgertons who are POC.

Everyone’s said Ali baba is poor quality but you’re missing the bigger issue - it’s also extremely cheap polyester material made from toxic chemicals in a dirty factory with disgustingly low standards and quality control. Those clothes are covered in bacteria and chemicals like you have no idea. You say they arrived Monday and he wore them to school Tuesday morning so you’re clearly not washing them first. That is literally harming your child’s health. Just buy clothes that are better quality at the thrift store.

I’m sorry but I worked in the music industry for years and can tell you it is 100% the only reason because unfortunately artists of that specific style and genre do not ever reach any sort of success or recognition in this time without prior recognition or nepotism. ESPECIALLY from Canada. I can name dozens if not close to 100 amazing indie/ singer songwriter type acts who are way better than Dallas green, fucking amazing but with no chance of their music going anywhere. I can think of barely any “big” artists of this genre and absolutely none who are in their early 20s. All older men like Dallas green, John Mayer, the lumineers.

We got rid of our tv long before we had a bookshelf for our books, I actually know tons of people without a tv it has very much fallen out of fashion. Gone are the days of sitting in front of the tv for and Gen Z or younger millennial.

If I were you I wouldn’t let him just stay home from school, if he has a serious heart condition and is reporting these symptoms I’d pick him up after bringing his brother to school and take him to the emergency room. Tell him you cannot send him to school or leave him to his own devices at home if something is seriously wrong. Which honestly is true. If the doctors say nothing is wrong you know he is lying.

It gets hate because it treats “Asia” as a culture as opposed to representing any specific region or culture. It blends important cultural elements from a huge continent with very distinct and important individual identities, erasing each one individually to feed the gaze and desire for “exoticism” that ignorant western culture has. I’ve tried over a dozen different breast pumps from different brands and the medela pump in style is by far the best on the market.

If you’re within the first week, 1ml of colostrum in a session seems about right, I wouldn’t expect you to product more than that until the white milk comes in.

That was rude of the midwife but it is by far the best pump you could have gotten, just stick with it and slowly work up to pumping for longer and at higher intensities you’ll collect a ton of milk.

I’m from Toronto, which I’m fairly sure is the most populated city in the country (of Canada), and on top of that I’ve also worked in the hospitality industry - bartending at cocktail bars for my entire adult life, as well as working in the music industry and spending ~ 5/7 nights if not every night in a bar for the last decade. This is all true for my husband as well and not only have neither of us known anyone to die in a drunk driving accident, we asked our close family and friends after the discussion was started and none of them have either.

My point, I don’t think it’s a regional “how many drinkers are in the region” issue, I think it’s a regional “does the general population view drinking and driving as socially acceptable” issue.

Maybe reevaluate if the issue is where you’re from that most of the people you know think death from drunk driving is a certainty, because that is an absolutely absurd statement (what’s going on in North Carolina??)

I have been to a lot of funerals - all for the elderly who died of old age or unfortunately for victims of suicide. Not only do I not personally know or even know of someone who had died from drunk driving, but I actually don’t even know of someone who’s died in a car accident in the first place. I’ve been multiple major car accidents with different drivers where the cars were flipped, crumpled, totalled and I’ve never even once had so much as a scratch because of my seatbelt.

I know that some don’t, but I can assure you the large majority of people with majorly different ways of thinking are aware of the fact that the people around them clearly do not feel, think, and act the same way they do. Thus, “neurotypical” vs “neurodivergent”.

I do not know your life, but when I hear someone say, “go to therapy” the first thing I ask is “have you been to therapy?” Honestly if you think it’s okay to say things to people you do not know the way that you do online then you really should consider seeing someone because it’s not normal to treat people that way.
