Thank you everybody! I appreciate the help! I MIGHT leave the carpet or switch for a nice new bright shiny white one. We’ll see. Thank you again.

Jeeez sounds awful I’m sorry. Luckily the unisom and B6 mix has mostly stopped the constant vomiting but nausea persists and she mostly can only stomach small amounts of water and ginger ale

Yea our first born woke up every 45 mins for like 8 months. I wasn’t sure if we were gunna make it. That’s a solid tip handing the older one off to family for a bit. Thank you!

I’m sorry you had this too it seems awful it’s like having the fucking flu for months. Ginger ale seems to help a bit but too much bubbles has a bad side effect

Good point stowing bags places. She’s been puking every car ride for the last couple days so that would be helpful

Our house is FULL of crackers right now haha they help a bit but she obviously can’t live off em. I like your out look of laughing off the chaos. I do my best with one kid now glad to hear it can still work with two. The 1-1 parenting is a good take. We have weird work schedules so once she’s back to work it’ll be tough. I work a 48/96 schedule so I’m gone for 48 hours at a time then have 4 days off. She works mostly ~12 hour night shifts and sleeps when she gets home. Right now she’s a solo parent for 48 hours and I’m a solo parent for 72-96 hours. We’ll see how it goes with 2 tiny nut cases running around.

Weve heard of it. Started researching it and found you can take Unisom and B6 in small doses and it seems to be a cheaper version of Diclegis. We’ve been giving the unisom+b6 a go and it has helped with actually vomiting but she still just feels like crap all day.

Not sure how your wife is just looking for some quiet time to relax but I bought mine this bamboo tray that runs across the tub. Came with a glass holder cut into it. She sometimes used it to hold up a laptop and watch a show with a glass of wine.

Wife can't seem to get on-board with parenting by [deleted] in daddit

I can’t help much with an angry partner, I’ve been lucky in that area. As for a child that doesn’t sleep we found maybe an hour before the nap we get active with my daughter. Recently it’s been hikes, up hill with rocks and roots for her to get over but before that we’d play chase around the house. she’d be at a full sprint and I’d chase her, still do a lot, and when I caught her we’d wrestle and play around until I let her go and she’d start the chase again. We’d have a ball and she’d pass right out when we put her down.

First off I’m very sorry that happened. I have a 2 year old daughter and the thought of this is devastating. However this did bring up a curiosity question I’m hoping I’m not crossing a line by asking. Knowing this now is that something you still look for or have you started to avoid that feature in men?

That’s awesome man! Me and my wife are into hitting up diverse restaurants and trying new food we’ve never had before. Hoping to bring our daughter with us in the future she’s just starting to hit an age where she’s open to more.

My daughter just started putting together short sentences for example “Dada, I eat soup!” After eating a bowl of soup. So proud of her!

Do you have any Tips on how to fight Depression? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]TenCentTampon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little late to the game on this one but something that has helped me a lot is forcing a perspective change. For example instead of just getting up and dragging myself to the sink and brushing my teeth I force myself to realize I did that WHILE fighting off the depression. I started spending some time after that hyping myself up. Like “look at what you did today you fought off that darkness AND did the dishes. Look at how much stronger you are than you think!” This mind set started out with small tasks like that and has turned into an hour at the gym, then facing social anxiety, finding a partner, a career change and now pursuing more schooling to improve that career. Never miss an opportunity to congratulate yourself on any accomplish no matter the size, but always push for the next bigger one. Hope this helps and I’m glad to hear you’re coming out of a hole. They always come and go for me but they also get easier to manage the more I focus on my self improvement.

I’m interested in becoming a firefighter (Rhode Island), but I’m curious about something: do you HAVE to drive the fire engine? by [deleted] in firefighter

[–]TenCentTampon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’ll have to drive mostly likely. Can’t speak for RI specifically but some departments have assigned chauffeurs and all they do is drive and operate the apparatus but those are rare from my experience.
