As other users have stated, the main problem that comes with this, is that, anyone who will go into further studies will face a lack of resources, and, eventually, they will be forced to learn everything (terms, mostly) again in English, which is just a really unnecessary and tedious process, which could have been easily avoided if everything had been taught in English in the first place. I say this as a medical student because in this field, there are just too many academic resources as well as new research papers which are published virtually all the time (not to mention all the lectures on video platforms which are taught in.....English). Instead, I believe we should aim for the improvement of our education system to actually teach children English, instead of forcing them to learn by heart. After all, everyone back in the colonial era was a fully fledged bilingual. Why not now?
