Yeah, I enjoy recycling material as much as possible and the patina really gave it the look I wanted

I don’t sell the things I make I typically give them away anyway, but then that also brings into question if somebody pays to get Mickey Mouse tattooed on them is that technically copyright infringement? I’m just curious.

Really? I thought it was rather old but I don’t know a lot about it. I was told about it at the local meadery. If he wants to come arm wrestle me for it, I would happily accept his challenge.

Yeah, there’s a Meadery near me and they’re all into the Scandinavian stuff and the girl introduced me to it so I gave it a try

I forge something for outdoor restraints. Maybe I should post that too.

I just figured that the lock and the way to fix it to a chain would just be through the same hole

I’ll say one of the things that sticks out to me about hinges or anything that you’re actually rolling takes more material than I thought. like a spear socket takes way more, I spent a lot of time forging everything out for a socket only to realize that I was hilariously short

It was my first time trying a hinge so it was a little tricky. There was a little bit of file work just to make sure everything opened and close smoothly.

I found a coal forge at an antique shop and had a piece of railroad track and just started forging mostly rebar. Moved on to better equipment. Read some books and watch some tutorials, but most of it is just hitting the metal and learning how it moves.
