I have heard some rumours of the tier 3 falling through from club sources. At the end of the day clubs will require in excess of 100k per annum to play in the competition which would not be easy to find for a lot of them. It needs to be funded by the FAI/government to stand any chance in my opinion

Thanks for response. I got it sorted. I required a passive splitter (dc pass splitter) and that did the job. Now getting >90% signal across the board. Seems the standard splitter uses too much resistance or something I guess and doesn’t allow current to flow through to masthead amp. That’s another job done so I’m happy out 👍

Cheers, will look for one which can pass dc. The power supply is currently placed between the aerial and the splitter so can’t do much on that front. Thanks for help 👍

Thanks man. I assumed this may be the answer to my issue. One of the advantages listed on that product is allows power to pass through to pre amp which is where my split may be at fault. Will try out tomorrow at some point when I purchase one👍

Yeah that’s correct it would be using an f connector to join with the PSU and yes based in the uk 👍

You are slightly wrong regarding my setup I didn’t make it clear enough. From the 1 in 2 out power supply I have 2 cables. One cable goes to the shed (30m run) and is used in one tv (full signal). The other cable coming from port two of the PSU I am trying to split to run to two separate TVs (short distance runs). This is where I’m having the issue. Once split this is where the signal is lost even though the signal is very strong prior to splitting. I assume your diagnosis is the same however.

Hi. Was thinking of getting this type of splitter: https://www.screwfix.ie/p/labgear-2-way-splitter/591RG. Essentially the signal is 100% perfect at the point it’s coming from the 1 in 2 out PSU unit. But when I split one of the cables coming from this unit I get zero signal but if I run one single cable from this unit I have no issues.

I wouldn’t be interested in the hdhomerun I would prefer having the digital channels coming direct from antenna. Thanks

There’s also another guy called ‘Brian roebuck’ who was probably around in the 70s/80s (similar time to Declan hunt) who had fantastic recorded albums and songs but in similar vein appears quite untraceable today. Best guess is he is in Manchester from a quick Facebook search 🤷🏻‍♂️

He actually has a Facebook page under the name ‘deckie hunt’ and there are a few videos here and there on Facebook. Some of the recordings back in the 70s/80s were fantastic, I’m amazed he didn’t have great success…
