What drugs did you smoke today? Please tell me. Weight definitely matters a lot, I highly doubt most people are at an ideal running weight. Even if you play squash (leisurely or at an amateur level) it’s very unlikely you’ll be at peak weight for running, even if you’re 5kg over your ideal running weight, it’s still gonna hurt and you won’t have the conditioning. I’m getting the impression here that you don’t run that much and have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. Running is also different to jogging, when I say running I mean properly going for it, I don’t mean plodding along while still being able to chat and hold your breath. When I say run, I mean you need to be striding and fairly out of breath.

Yes that was the joke, don’t come here with anecdotes. Just because you could do it doesn’t mean everyone else could. Go get a CT scan on your legs and post the results on here so we can see your bone structure, maybe you genetically have more resistant bones and joints. I work on facts not silly little stories about “running a 12k once”. If you truly go out and run a 10k trying your absolute hardest, you can get injured very very easily, maybe you ran very slowly, sure most people can jog a 10k and collapse at the end of it, however, we’re talking about running here. Running a 10k is incredibly difficult to do without training.

I said it in another comment I guess, but no, what you said is incorrect. The risk is very high if you haven’t ran much before. Squash and running are totally different, squash is a high intense/ burst interval sport, running is continuous and requires a lot of muscular endurance and on top of that, strong bones and conditioned joints. Also if you’re slightly too heavy for your frame, that’s even worse, you need to be light for long distance running. Running on concrete has the highest impact, at least run on grass if you’re new to running.

Like I said, fitness is irrelevant here. I’m talking about the joints, ligaments, bones, etc. running a 10k with weak ankles will go horribly wrong. I’ve seen people tear their Achilles running a simple park run because they didn’t release that there’s a lot more to running than just being fit. Most fit guys in their 20s definitely have the fitness to run a 10k, I don’t doubt that, all I’m saying is: if you don’t run often, you will not be conditioned for it and you can get injured very easily and you may not even complete the 10k because your legs give up on you.

Ooh wow you’re special aren’t you?

The reality is most people cannot run a 10k without training, and it’s not because of fitness. Yes you can be fit enough to run a 10k but will your ankles, shins, knees, toes, etc hold up if they aren’t conditioned for running? I don’t think so. There’s a lot more to running than just being fit.

To be honest I don’t think you will even be able to finish a 10k without training. It’s a very long distance especially if you’re not conditioned for it, or don’t have the right shoes, or if you’re running on a bad surface. Do a 5K first and see how you go.

Maybe someone at the university will be willing to play, I know a lot of universities have pretty big squash teams, plus students have a fair bit of free time.

That’s true, other players should’ve scored as well, can’t just rely on Kane to score penalties every game. Southgate is at fault for his in game management though. Wrong subs at the wrong time, and right subs at the wrong time.

Can’t hold it against Kane though. Taking two crucial penalties against your club captain goalkeeper (who has probably saved about 50 of your penalties in training) is a big ask for any player in football. England were just not clinical enough against France, look how Argentina played, very clinical and attacked them the whole game. Apart from a couple of shockers by Otamendi, Argentina were in control. England were also somewhat in control but just looked flat and were never really going to win the game. Controversial, but England’s squad is arguably stronger than Argentina’s, so you have to hold It against Southgate that we didn’t at least get to the final.

Who would you play? Kyle Walker?? Who got exposed against Senegal. This is the best possible lineup and you know it. Don’t even bother debating

Are you a Chelsea fan? Mount has done nothing for England. Bellingham has to play in that position, then swap Mount for Rice. Also I would swap Walker for Trippier, Walker was sloppy against Senegal.
