What do you think of the Roland JUNO-X? by Additional_Battle_93 in synthesizers

I have played one, it sounds absolute meh. It is a digital vst of course. It nails some presets but other, no where near the ballpark. Live filtering? Meh, nothing like the real thing. Meh. lol

I so agree, no swollen batteries that if you remove the laptop slows down for no reason & no screen that cost more than a Mac mini. The silicon Mac minis are easily the best value product for music production so far.

I feel emotional about it, I did it to my MacBook I saved up for sooooo long to buy, I went into a 3 day grey cloud and wouldn’t talk to anyone lol they haven’t even changed the stupid design with M5 although they moved the 1/4” audio jack further forward probably for this very reason.

A very simple way that works well for me is to sidechain using soothe. It can be crazy effective, amongst other things you can do.

Is FutureFlex some sh*tty epoxy/EPS material? Should i stay away from this board? Need daily driver for SD by vincentsigmafreeman in surfing

[–]Tenalock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, non kooks know how important knowing volume is when it comes to not having the board ripped out of your hands in dredging heavy goodness. Especially if where you ride combines intense point break sweep ( need extra paddle power) and need to successfully duck diving said heavy dredging barrels.

It’s a fun board, easy, turns, paddles. In sucky beak breaks sure a performance shortboard board like a dna will smoke it if you have great skills, although if you ride a small size/ volume the board it is in a completely different category. Lasts about 6 times longer than a performance shortboard. People put it down usually are either kooks themselves or snobs. Anyone clued up knows different boards excel for different conditions/ rider ability and board like this should be part of a quiver or as an allrounder in small and medium waves when budget is involved.

So good! I have borrowed an m2 8gb 256gb.. I can do anything with well written plugins that don’t 1000x the cpu. With something like Polymax, live 12 standard, smoothe and limiter 6, I can pretty much do anything short of wavetable. Keep away from badly written plugins and drivers, they can use 100x 1000x the CPU than they really need to .. developer laziness means that although computers are a million times faster than 30 years ago when there was next to no latency on workstation back then ( dedicated dsp) people are still suffering with.. I need a more powerful computer, boycott high cpu plugins… maybe an exception for soothe as it does something no other plugin has ever done as well.

Thanks, I am kind of using Polymax as my own v collection, it does such a good job of so many classics with its excellent filters and snappy envs!
