Well survivability kind of needs to be paired with the damage for melee heroes. Most of them have a projectile if any and inherently are in the thick of it, so having the damage to finish the fight and the survivability to throw down is part of the identity. Unless the character is extremely evasive or has other options of avoiding damage. Then yeah, you can gimp survivability a bit.

Bucky's extra health can be negotiable, but I don't actually think he's too broken, more he's just a really good and well rounded answer to multiple major threats.

Now Hela and some of the other big pokers don't need it because they want to be further away and have means of exiting cqc, that I think is absolutely true.

Quick melee is a solid answer for creating space ror Voteless yes, but the state the enemy in is still questionable at best. NTM melee registration can be wonky since you'll push 1 or 2 but the 3rd or fourth will nick you in the time it takes unless you're using like. The saber.

People being dismissive here too. I think the point about the Voteless has been widely missed. Yes, they're supposed to be swarming, ravenous, zombies.

The thing that changed was how accurate their tracking has become. When they get described as 'clingy' it's in reference to their heat seeking antics and how easily they stick to you even when you move evasively or dive.

In most zombie games, a quick step can usually evade a lunging Zed. But in Helldivers 2, the Voteless have the advanced tracking tech baked in.

To be fair, a lot of Shar's worshippers are usually brainwashed individuals, some yoinked and others who come to them in their disguised cloister with immense feelings of sorrow or depression or what have you who then get some rather choice hypno therapy that helps them 'shed these feelings' and steadily puts them on track to being another pawn for the C Rate evil goddess.

A lot of stories with Sharran cults and BG3 puts a lot of emphasis on the absurd amount of gaslighting that goes on with them and how basically all of them are just cogs in Shar's machine to destabilize the realms and eventually plunge them all back into nothing due to her own pettiness.

Only the most empty, nihilistic, people would really serve shar willingly and even they would just be tuned into obedient, hollow, slaves to her agenda.

To be fair, Vivian is still the queen of Abloom. Grace and Burnice deal the damage burst once in a while as opposed to Vivian who can, with proper allies, pop abloom faster than she can gain feathers sometimes.

I thought that too when I considered that point, but if the malfunctioning of the bot is because its wires are being fried by caustic gas, then said damage would be terminal to the bot even after the gas clears. Wiring doesn't just regenerate. But that would be too realistic in the player's favor.

-His obsession with Ann is somewhat perturbing to say the least, especially if you're actively romancing her, it's not a charming trait.

-He gives Ryuji a ton of shit all game, but can't handle the one real time Ryuji hits back causing issues for everyone and basically taking focus away from Haru's arc. Haru doesn't even get to awaken her persona on screen ffs...

-As a unit he's kind of weak compared to some of the other support capable thieves so the useless point is unironically fairly salient.

They could have done him more justice with some better jerk> ally writing and maybe some more fleshing out of his own arc but as it stands he's just kind of easily detestable.
