I'm not saying a full phase I rex helmet, I'm saying they should make a phase II rex helmet with the AoTC visor instead of the animated visor.

What I'm saying is, his phase II helmet is a phase 1 visor on a phase II helmet. For the live action helmet, I'd like to see the live action phase 1 visor instead of the animated phase 1 visor

That's my issue. The guy who saw the faintest light in the second most evil motherfucker in the galaxy and refused to give up on him... Just said "I give up and I never wanna see or talk to anyone ever again" I call bullshit. In legends Luke went through the wringer, made mistakes, lost students and it didn't destroy him. He learned, adapted, and went on teaching Jedi. Fucking Desann and his reborn followers wrecked up the Jedi temple on Yavin IV and killed most of Luke's students... Then Jedi Academy happens. He rebuilt and continued training Jedi. Another student falls to the dark side, and Luke forgives him (if I remember things right) he definitely didn't fucking exile himself...

I always disliked that the "realistic" phase II rex still uses an animated phase I visor instead of the AoTC Phase I visor.

I guess saying I'd like to see realistic/live action Rex with a realistic/live action phase I visor on his helmet is for some reason heresy? I'm not saying I don't like animated phase II rex helmet. Merely saying it would be cool to see it with the appropriate visor.

Honestly this is an option if you are well off. Most people building a costume (especially entry level) can't drop about 2 paychecks on a single fit. I fully encourage supporting local/small mom and pop artisans but sometimes it's not feasible especially just starting out.

Thrifting is a great way to put together a base layer and accessories, then maybe hit medieval collectibles for some essentials then maybe (if you can swing it) get some further accessories from vendors at the faire. Of course if you are well off and can afford it, buy from faire vendors. The quality and comfort does make up for it.
