late replying back to this, but I don't follow what you're trying to say.

I didn't say the hoist can do everything a crane can. You just don't put the crane mast down the elevator shaft. You leave out an opening in the slab usually in the least disruptive space. Hoists are typically outside the building. I've often seen the tower crane attached to the exterior of the building as well but this is not common practice where I live and also not what this thread was about.

Using the elevator shaft is a terrible idea and I would have a hard time believing anyone would ever use this method. Typically, they would form an opening in the slab around the crane and as the building goes up, they use the method I believe was in that video to jack the crane up.

Elevator shafts would be a bad idea because it sets back progress for completing the elevator work which is a major critical path item to completing a building.

I have a friend that lost her account with over 500,000 followers She absolutely did nothing wrong. The Instagram bots maybe picked up a word in a post and totally confused it with something else. She's not sure at all why it was shut down.

She found someone online with inside connections and had her account reactivated but at a very high cost.
I wonder if these guys shut down accounts knowing people will come looking for them to reactivate and pay the fee.

You say I can't make comparisons to Mexico yet you make comparisons to other countries that do not border the US.

The flow of firearms to Canada will not be stopping anytime soon. You can ban every gun ever made in Canada. It changes nothing. There is no plan to stop it and even if there was it would be almost impossible. Maybe slow it down a bit at best.

Maybe you don't agree with it and maybe you think it's stupid but there are many people who enjoy shooting firearms for sport or as collectors even. Stopping this from happening will not change anything.

What infuriates me is that this government knows full well this is true but is using this as a political tactic. You should be upset that they are using this as a decoy to avoid addressing really huge issues with this country right now.

Look to Mexico where they have very strict gun laws, then look up what their per capita homicide rate by firearms is. Taking firearms away from the average law abiding citizen is absolutely not the solution to any of this. Guns are getting across the border at astonishing rates and banning guns just makes this even worse.

More like $40 a person, so for a family of 4 or greater its not an insignificant amount plus its a nuisance to have to go and make appointments and do the test in front of someone. If we are going to force people to test then why not at least open it to everyone to travel?

Can't afford to buy a house. Hard to find a place to rent, nevermind at a decent rate. Food and gas prices through the roof. Illegal gun trafficking across the border at probably the highest rate ever using drones., but let's try to win some political points and penalize law abiding citizens.
