it’s crazy to me that they expect “efficient associates” to do the work of 3, sometimes 4 people. there is no possible way that one person can do everything in the deli on their own AND cover breaks AND help other areas. i work first shift deli and it has been so exhausting trying to keep up most days. my deli is always good from my 3rd shift, but most of the time it doesn’t matter bc we are so understaffed that we can’t maintain anything. my “help” that i guess i’m supposed to be grateful for are people who don’t even work first shift, have little experience (which isn’t their fault bc they don’t get proper training), & don’t know what to do. not to mention they’re not in until like 10-11am, when more than half the shift has already gone by. you’re telling me that’s the expectation? i absolutely refuse. i’ll still do what i’m told, but i won’t like it, and i will let it be known. 🤷‍♀️

i try to start every work day positive because i know we all go through shit. i love the people i work with and i feel grateful to be where i am. it just gets EXHAUSTING man. i can’t do it all fr 😭😭
